Lovely location nice and peaceful, cottage had all the amenities that we required short drive to Newton Stewert, lovely local walks, our Labrador loved it, conservatory was lovely to sit in and watch the birds, we ended up buying more seed for them!!! View was lovely after long walks to sit and chill, was a tad disappointed after reading a review from June where a hairdryer and DVD were to be added and this still hadn't been added. Would say the property was clean but not spotless, but would seriously think about returning.

Stunning location if you enjoy wildlife, birds hares and red squirrels in abundance. Several local woodland walks offering a variety of different routes to explore, excellent walking including scrubland waterfalls and ancient woodland.

lovely cottage in a peaceful location, it is well equipped with plenty of outside space if you have children or dogs, there are some local walks to the rear of the property if you make your way up through the small wood, it was great to sit in the conservatory in the evening and watch the wild life. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly book again.

This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Enjoyed watching the birds and the squirrel but could not stay up late enough for the badger. I would have given ratings of ten for all the categories if it wasn't for the fact that while this place doesn't come cheap it lacks what I would consider basic items such as a hairdryer or DVD player. Yes, the place has SkyQ but this does not have the Movie Channel so watching a film In the evening or at a time of your choosing is not an option. This area has some beautiful places to visit, Mull of Galloway, Castle Kennedy Gardens and the Machars to name but a few.
