Has to be 10/10 from us for many reasons. Best place we have ever stayed and surpassed all our expectations. It was Immaculate, comfortable and cosy with wonderful views, quiet and tranquil Clare, Chris and Alice were all welcoming and very friendly. The dogs Pickle and Red were also really lovely with ours who can be quite a trial around other dogs. We have never gone back to the same place in all our travelling but are planning to return . Although the Lodge is located in a rural position you are not far from Newton Abbot and very well placed to tour most of Devon and Cornwall which is what we did.

We got a warm welcome from the owner on arrival with a welcome pack which was much appreciated. The accommodation is very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed watching the wildlife and chickens. I found that a mirror was lacking in one of the bedrooms which caused a bit of difficulty when wanting to dry hair etc. As we tend to eat in a couple of nights we found that we could have done with another saucepan. Other than that everything else was great.

We had a fab 3 night break. The lodge was beautiful and far nicer than the pictures showed. It was warm comfortable and spotlessly clean - had everything we needed. It has its own fenced garden so very safe and convenient for our dog. Chris & Claire were lovely and left us some lovely scones and prosecco as a welcome treat - much appreciated. They also gave us tips on where to visit along with directions and advice on nice places to eat. **Would recommend the Pig and Whistle pub for lovely food. It was very well placed to so easy to visit many places in the area. We all would thoroughly recommend Bardon lodge and hope to return at some point in the future. Thanks to Claire and Chris for making our visit so relaxed and enjoyable.

We have visited Bardon Lodge twice in the last 6 months and we find it the perfect base for us and our dog to explore this part of Devon. Chris and Clare are extremely friendly and helpful but unobtrusively so. We can not find anything negative to say about Bardon Lodge.
