We had a wonderful stay at The Barn Owl cottage. Very peaceful, and comfortable, and well equipped, with kitchen and bathroom supplies. Delicious package of food was there to welcome us on our arrival! Thank you once again Simon and Jo for sharing such a tranquil space.

Just lovely although a sliding door for the en-suite would make a perfect addition. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, thank you ?

Barn owl lodge is small and quirky. Very clean and comfortable with a two seater settee, dining table for two, sumptuous king size bed with quality bedding, shower room with toilet and small kitchen included in lounge area. It has a small back garden with table and two chairs and a bbq. The garden is not fully fenced so dogs need to be watched. There is parking for one car. Heating is by radiators or log burner. We loved our weeks stay here and will definitely be going back next year. Simon is lovely and knows how to set up a holiday cottage. There was many little extra’s such as chocolate shortcake biscuits, fresh bread, butter, and other goodies waiting for us. There are also many toiletries etc in case you have forgotten something. Overall very high standards and quality thru out. There are many many walks around the village for dogs and the area is extremely quiet and peaceful. We would highly recommend barn owl lodge for a get away for two plus dogs.

We were let down at the last minute and Simon was able to provide us with accommodation enabling us to attend my cousin's birthday celebration. The lodge is beautifully equipped and nothing has been forgotten. The welcome pack is exceptionally good. Walk books are provided and very useful, particularly the churches booklet. It is situated in a very quiet lane but still within walking distance of the local! Don't hesitate, go.

It was our 2nd time at Barn Owl lodge. We use it as a base to visit my daughter & it's perfect just 15mins from Norwich. Comfortable & cosy. Very peaceful & restful setting. Simon (The owner) is a lovely person & always willing to help. Constantly listening to his guests suggestions & acting on them to further improve your stay. Loved the new addition of the fencing. Perfect for us with a Fox Terrier with a chase instinct, we were able to leave the door open for her to come & go as she pleased with no worries.Wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as always & will definitely be back later in the year & probably for many years to come.

Lovely boutique cottage in quiet location on the edge of the village. Arrived to a fridge containing fresh milk, bread, butter, tea and coffee and the very welcome bottle of Prosecco and slices of Millionaire Shortcake, yum yum. Good for dog walking as next to the village common but a small secure area for letting the dogs mooch about would have made it perfect for us. All in all a lovely cottage for a short break and we will definitely be back.

A lovely peaceful cosy cottage. Really comfortable bed and pillows. Overlooking fields with river running through. Egrets frequently visited field and owls flying past. It was great to be able to take our two cavalier dogs on holiday with us. Good dog walking area right next to the cottage, although when we visited at Christmas it was too muddy. There is a local pub a few minutes walk away but as it wasn't dog friendly we did not visit it. Had a lovely Sunday lunch in the next village, Brooke. Wonderful log burner for cosy nights in but we only lit this once as the central heating system kept us warm enough. Only negative for us was no mobile phone signal so couldn't phone family on Christmas day. Would recommend if you want to get away from it all.

Really enjoyed our stay at Barn Owl Lodge, So warm and cosy, even without the heating on. Such a wonderful country setting, LOVELY to see the cows and horses, from the window, so different from Bristol !! B.T. our dog, really enjoyed her country walks. Everything my girlfriend and i, needed was either in the lodge or outside Had a lovely day in the country pub, 5 minutes away, and the best Sunday roast ever (the globe ) Thank you Simon and Jo for a wonderful experience. Will be back in April or May P.S. sorry we didn't have a pen to fill in the guest book.
