Barn Owl is a wonderful shepherd’s hut sleeping four guests, which allows you to enjoy outdoor adventure in style. The Lakes is hidden away at end of a long drive, and spread over 750 acres of glorious Norfolk countryside, where you can truly enjoy no light pollution and Norfolk’s huge skies. The wild meadows and lakes offer an abundance of wildlife to make this an idyllic spot for nature lovers. Here there are four traditional style shepherd’s huts and two yurts (sleeping up to 18 people when hired privately). They each have private facilities, toileting and showering facilities, with hot running water. All huts are centred around ‘the Nest’ a large communal safari tent with a definite wow factor and are set in an elevated position with commanding views of the lake. It has a covered porch with deckchairs and bean bags on which to relax. Inside you will find comfy leather sofas, a wood burner to ward off any evening chill, throws to snuggle under and board games galore. There is a dining area with tables and chairs, an extremely well-equipped kitchen to enable you to prepare meals - or why not embrace your inner wild cook, having a wood fired pizza oven and two large fire bowls that serve as versatile BBQs? Cook over wood, or charcoal, it’s your choice. A gas plancha is also provided for speedier cooking and is ideal for breakfast time.
