We had a lovely time at Barnes House. It was very well equipped and local amenities were good.
We stayed for two weeks at Barnes Hous f?rom the 15th to the 22nd of June 2019.
We were met at the door by a very nice and helpful lady, Marie who showed us over the house and explained the heating and the appliances etc.
The house was immaculately clean and tidy with comfortable beds, a good well equipped kitchen, and a nice sitting room, with large televisions in both the sitting room and bedroom.
The garden is surrounded by wonderful mountain scenery and there are good local ammenities within easy walking distance.
Although we were unlucky with the weather until the last three days when the sun came out and we had 30 degrees, there is much to do and we had some wonderful touring and eating out,
We would recommend this house to anyone who likes the outdoors or who just likes touring the highlands.

Fabulous views from the cottage which was comfortable and clean. Had a lovely welcome from Marie who looks after the place.
The only problem with the cottage was the shower which was not very powerful due to poor water pressure but apart from this there was everything you could possibly want.
Lovely place to stay, with everything you would want in a cottage. Would return.
An absolutely fabulous cottage. Has all the amenities you would want. The cottage is warm and comfortable, and is in excellent condition. The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding highland areas. There is a co-op, great pub and chippy all in walking distance. Thank you
Lovely well equiped place to stay. Plenty of places and things around.
Lovely welcome too from Marie.
Awesome holiday in awesome cottage
Lovely place to stay and the caretaker was most helpful. Beautiful views especially from the back of the house
We were three persons, thus it was o.k. For four it would be not bad, but a littzle bit more closely.
This was our second visit to Barnes Cottage and we were not disappointed. The cottage was tastefully decorated for Christmas as we stayed in December. A great position for walks around Ballachulish and Glen Coe.
Absolutely amazing. There are stunning views of mountains from all around the cottage. The cottage is very well equipt and comfortable. It is perfect for a quiet get away from the hustle and bustle of busy cities. We have already booked to stay again we enjoyed it that much.
We absolutely loved this cottage. It's location in the village, up a very small incline, gives a great view and leaves it very accessible to the pub, chippy, shops, tourist centre and bus stop.
The information pack was so helpful with lots of great advice on things to do and local amenities.
Marie likewise was such a useful source of local information and gave us a nice warm and friendly welcome.
Would definitely stay again.
