Really lovely, well equipped property. Hot tub is a great addition. Great that dogs are welcome too at no extra cost

Lovely cottage, very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Ideally placed to visit family in the area and more than spacious enough to have them all round for New Years Eve. Only issue was its location on a very busy main road which did not lend itself for dog walks from the front door - you have to go everywhere in the car. Otherwise, a lovely stay with a nice garden for light doggy exercise.

We had a lovely long weekend with friends. Barnetside is a lovely cottage, finished to a high standard. Perfect if you want to sit back and relax without distraction as there is a lack of phone signal (no complaints on that score). There is a rear garden which we were assured was pet safe and fully secure, however, our small dogs managed to escape on 2 separate occasion from 2 different parts of the garden (under the fence), and as the cottage is adjacent to a busy road, this was quite concerning. Also, be advised that there is a barn conversion building site next door, where builders were working when we had been advised that no works would be carried out during our stay. Overall, a pleasant stay, and we have been assured by the owners that they will address the issue with the garden fencing. The hot tub was lovely. We would book again.

We booked this cottage for the following reasons, it being out of the way for peace and quiet, we was disappointed to find that into our 7 night stay but 5 of those was interrupted by building work and at least 5 cars of trades people turning up and parking in front of the cottage on the driveway shared with the other part of the property being worked on.We was not told of this when 1. We booked the holiday 2. When we received all the details at final payment, 3. When I called and spoke to one of the owners 3 days before coming to the cottage( this building work had not just started it had been ongoing for a while, we should have been informed about the building work as it seems they own the property where the work is being done, and this was not a cheap holiday to except not being informed about works. The reason we put 4 for cleanliness was the carpets smelt strongly of dogs and had some stains even despite being informed on final payment that dogs were not allowed upstairs in the property. We have messaged about our stay and what we felt but have not received a response.

Lovely accomodation, very compleet and luxurious. Comfy sofa and beds. And on top of that the hot tub. We had a great week and felt really at home.
