We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Bay Tree Lodge.....very well equipped kitchen, clean, comfortable and in a relaxing and peaceful setting. Having a few basic items left for us in the fridge, was very appreciative and a lovely touch. Rachel was very friendly and helpful, when I contacted her prior to our stay. The Lodge was in a good location to visit other areas. We will ge back.

perfect location for doing all the activites linked with the best of the Suffolk coast all with 30 min, cottage private cosy and warm, we had a lovely time

Great stay, well equipped cottage. The only thing for me was the lack of a shop for milk and newspapers in the village but apart from that couldn't fault it.

Very difficult to find as printed instructions were out of date. Beautiful aspect. All items, kitchen, bathroom are of the highest quality - beautiful. Good size bed. Lovely open aspect through full glass doors to the garden. There simply is not a better equip't accommodation anywhere. The cottage has everything. For major shop Saxmunden is about 10 minutes away, the coast (Southwold) about 20 minutes - well worth a visit. This cottage is beautifully situated. Very quiet, surrounded by country greenery apple trees and grape vine. Ideal for a couple and for people who really want to get away from things, but be just minutes from the major A12 route.Very dog friendly garden, sensible gravel and grass mix. Thank you we had a great time. adam beryl & tanba.

Had a lovely time and the owners are friendly and helpful. Having a frosted glass door on the toilet/ bathroom is a bit odd and potentially embarrassing if you have a family staying. There was only 2 chairs for the dinning table and could have done with 2 more chairs as we are a family of 4. We enjoyed our stay at Bay Tree Lodge

Great place and location. If I had to make a suggestion it would be to fill in the gap between the bath and the curved wall with some tiles. Then an “L” shower shower curtain could be erected over the bath. Other than that it was excellent okay a very nice welcome pack was supplied which was very welcome and useful.

The accommodation is ideal for two, close to Aldeburgh and Southwold. The rating would have been a 10, if it had had a stand alone shower in lieu of the shower attachment that connected to the bath taps. Apparently this is in the pipeline, so be advised to confirm this with the owner.

My second stay in this delightful property. It has everything you need for a peaceful retreat yet very close to Snape and Aldeburgh. Perfect. I’ll be back again. Bett

This was our second visit and despite poor weather we had an enjoyable stay. The lodge is very homely and comfortable, a good base for doggy walks and exploring local places of interest.

    A lovely relaxing break.

Lovely quiet relaxing break to get away from it all. Well equipped lodge, nice welcome pack. Plenty of walks and places to visit if you don't want to stay put but we just enjoyed the peace of the village.
