A very good few days in the south lakes. Great walks from the doorstep with a nice Indian restaurant in the town. Fantastic place to stay with great views from the bedrooms. Highly recommended.

A very well equipped cottage, very comfortable with everything you could think of, a stunning view of the bay . The reason why I gave it an 8 for location is because it is very rural ,oh and don't try to get a meal at any pubs on a Monday because they are closed . The welcome pack was the best that we have had in all the time of renting cottages.

A lovely cottage in a good location. Well equipped and comfortable although some more wine glasses and tumblers would be useful for more people, also a couple of flat baking trays. Location is very nice but parking can be difficult - hence the score of 8 for location. Owners were very helpful and generous - overall, a lovely relaxing holiday. We used the local railway station which was a convenient stress-free way to see the lovely coast nearby.

Had a great time. Lovely area, with lots to do. Really enjoyed the views of the estuary from the bedroom windows and balcony. Very clean and bright house, with an amazing welcome package provided. Kathleen was very helpful and we appreciated the calls to check everything was OK. Overall, probably the best holiday let we've ever been to.

The owners were at the property when we arrived and they immediately made us feel very welcome in their home. The welcome package which included cereal, fruit, crisps, biscuits and wine was not at all expected, but really appreciated. The house is nicely decorated with plenty of room. The kitchen has everything your own kitchen does at home and the dinning table sits 6 people. The sofas are comfortable, there is a large TV in the living area and a DVD player with a good selection of films to watch. There are also a number of books available if you fancy a read. The beds are really comfortable and there are TV’s in all three rooms, with plenty of storage for clothes. There are two bathrooms at the property, towels are provided and the showers are great (there is a bath available too). The views from the two larger bedrooms are breathtaking and the bedroom on the top floor has a balcony so you can sit outside and enjoy them. There is parking outside the property, which on a couple of occasions had been used by the neighbours, but you can park at the bottom of the road by the beach, so it isn’t a problem. There is a well stocked co op with a cash point just a couple of minutes drive away, or about 10 minutes on foot. Also nearby is a bakery (I can recommend the breakfast butties), a Chinese takeaway and a chip shop. There is also an Indian restaurant, where we had a lovely meal. These are all situated on the same road as the co op, so all within easy reach. There are lots of family things to do in the area (I would definitely recommend the Safari Zoo) We also enjoyed a number of coastal walks and Windermere is only a 40 minute drive away. We really enjoyed our stay, it is such a beautiful part of the country, which we feel blessed to have stumbled upon. We will definitely recommend the property to our family and friends 
