    Value for money

Winter break for a family of four. Beautiful peaceful location, well equipped and any concerns or questions answered immediately by owners. Recommended as a place to either get away from everything or site yourself for touring Central Scotland.

Very nice lodge in quiet location. The interior was nice and clean and had everything you required. The Glendevon Park is an ideal place to use as a base for touring around the surrounding area. There are one or two things which could be cleaned up on the outside of the property, but, over all it is very good value for money

On arrival we were very disappointed with our first sight of Bea Lodge. The photographs were obviously taken many years ago, since when the rendering has fallen of the brick walls and the walls themselves are disintegrating and no attempt has been made to clear up the resultant debris. An old shed, which appears to be full of old fittings and mattresses is the first thing you see when you go up the drive. The entrance door is warped, and needs great strength to close it, especially from the inside. The trees and plants have been left to grow and then hacked down leaving an untidy mess. On further inspection of the outside, we discovered a group of broken chairs and a broken barbecue at the rear of the building. the wooden furniture actually in use is broken as well. The large patio is full of weeds. Whilst there are exterior lights, the first one on leaving the drive and going up the steps is not working. A torch is required if coming in after dark. The interior of the lodge was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. The bedding and towels were fresh and clean. However, we had difficulty finding space for our clothes and personal belongings. Although there was ample hanging space, the wardrobe shelves were taken up with baskets of clean laundry etc and boxes of games. The lighting in general is poor. Only 'mood' lighting from low wattage paper covered lights which are set too close to the ground and therefore useless for reading by. The main ceiling lights are the same style but having them on all the time is not conducive to a relaxed holiday atmosphere. The main bedroom lights are useless for the same reasons. I doubt that the owners have been to the property for months. They rely on the cleaner, who does a very good job on the interior, but they need to go there and take urgent action to bring it up to a proper standard on the outside especially. If the necessary work was carried out, it would get my recommendation, but not before.

Really pleased with the accommodation the whole place was lovely thank you would use again

A lovely place to spend a holiday, lots of good places to visit nearby. Very secluded site, you do need to be organised with your shopping, every shop close by still needs to be driven to. However we thought the location was perfect for us

Bea Lodge was excellent for us as a family. After an 8 hour journey our arrival at the lodge and a cup of tea was much needed. The tea/coffee, the pint of milk and biscuits aswell as the coffee machine was a fabulous touch. It had everything we needed and more. The beds were super comfy, we didn't want to get up! There was plenty of crockery and utensils in the kitchen. The location of the lodge was super too. Honestly cannot fault this lodge at all. We would love to come back when we venture up that way again. Thanks for a fab stay.

Spacious lodge but if there were 6 of us would be tight on the sofas supplied. Lovely surroundings but get ready to do lots of travelling as no amenities for miles. Outside space is large but furniture could do with a facelift and general look of it. Ensuite needs regrouting and fan serviced and updated. Strange smell in master bedroom which although had window open and freshener on never really got rid off.

If we saw an up to date photo of the lodge from the angle of the main photo used, then we wouldn’t have even looked at the lodge. It needs at lot of care and attention to the outside and inside,It is located in a wonderful area but wouldn’t go back to the site. It’s a smokers lodge that you can’t smoke in the bedrooms but we would prefer a fully non smoking accommodation, we found it strange that we were supposed to put all bedding and towels in the bath when we left as we have never been asked that before. We understand that there will be cobwebs as we are in the countryside and that didn’t bother us. We obviously missed what others saw.

The Lodge has everything you need. We had a slight problem which the owner went out of her way to solve for us. Would highly recommend this Lodge
