Beachcomber is the perfect place to stay for a family who do like to be beside the seaside. The nearby beach is perfect for setting up beach camp for the day or enjoy a stroll along the coastal path to Saltburn-by-the-Sea, where you can then join the Cleveland Way. The centre point of this Edwardian terraced house is the large kitchen. A great place for all the family to gather at meal times or to enjoy a good old fashioned family games night. The interior is modern and boasts a lantern roof making it light and airy as well as French doors leading out into a little suntrap courtyard. There is a separate living room complete with a Smart TV and wonderful wood burner, perfect to relax in front of after a good days exploration around the fabulous local area. There are three bedrooms on the first floor and the ground floor dining room can act as a fourth bedroom with two single sofa beds.
Marske-by-the-Sea is a quaint little village with a number of dog friendly pubs offering a warm welcome, a home cooked meal and real ale, as well as a number of coffee shops and general stores. But the beach has to be the main attraction and it goes on for miles! The famous Cleveland Way snakes its way across the cliff tops and along the beach to Saltburn and beyond. It makes for a fun short walk or a stepping stone to something longer as The Cleveland Way runs south for miles and miles towards Whitby and Scarborough.
Neighbouring Saltburn-by-the-Sea is a great place to visit, with fantastic views, a wonderful sandy bay, a pier as well as ice cream shops, surf schools and some excellent restaurants and pubs. The North York Moors National Park is on your doorstep and the Danby Visitor Centre is worth a visit offering information about some of the fantastic places of interest dotted amongst the stunning North Yorkshire scenery. From Roseberry Topping to Sutton Bank you’ll find ancient abbeys to explore, waterfalls and rivers and some quaint villages where time has stood still such as Goathland and Grosmont where you can jump on board the Harry Potter express as it steams its way from Whitby to Pickering. Whitby is well worth a visit with the stunning Abbey stood proudly over the town, climb the 199 steps to the top for some fantastic views out to sea or enjoy strolling around the cobbled back streets. There are regular pleasure boat trips that head out in search of minke whales and dolphins, or take in one of the regular festivals and events such as the Goth Weekend and Regatta. Beach 200 yards. Shop 400 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Julie and Ray gave myself and the family a lovely welcome . The house is stunning light and airy, very spacious. we are a family of nine There was ample room for all to enjoy time together. The bathrooms and kitchen are wonderful. The large table in the kitchen was enjoyed we all sat to eat together each evening our little one was provided with a very comfortable high chair so she could join us. It was brilliant having two showers and a bath. The kitchen had everything that was needed to cater for ourselves. Julie and ray provided a welcome pack and a bonus was a bottle of prosecco. The sitting room had a large screen tv and a window seat the children took ownership of. There was plenty of room for us all to sit comfortable. the house is decorated to a high standard. I loved the pictures and sea side theme through out the rooms. even if you weren't on the beach you felt a sense of its presence. The beach can be seen from the front bedroom and you can here the sea. This is a wonderful house in a brilliant location. I will look forward toour next holiday in lovely Marske by the sea at the Beachcomber.
