This traditional mid terraced cottage can be found in the historical Park Bridge conservation village, between the Greater Manchester towns of Ashton-under-Lyne and Oldham. Inside the property you’ll find a spa-style bath, perfect for soaking tired legs after a day exploring, along with a cubicle shower; and a quiet loft sitting room room, perfect for reading and relaxation or simply catching up on emails. Outside there’s a raised rear garden backing onto farmland where at times you can even spot deer running across the field.
The location at the foot of Saddleworth Moors is semi-rural, surrounded by farmland and just perfect for dog walkers and outdoor enthusiasts with fabulous woodland walks nearby. There is a heritage centre and licensed village club close-by, plus further shops, pubs and amenities around 1-mile away. The bright lights of Manchester city centre are just 8 miles and can also be accessed via the Metrolink from Oldham Mumps Station, which is just 2½ miles from the property.
Nearby attractions include Daisy Nook Country Park, 10 minutes, which is now majority owned by the National Trust and is home to a lake, canal, woodlands and wild flower meadows, as well as its own café. The spectacular Dovestone Reservoir is around 20 minutes away, and backs onto the magnificent Peak District National Park and all it has to offer. The Diggle end of the Standedge Tunnel is also around 20 minutes. Neighbouring Uppermill has a bustling high street full of restaurants, bars and swish cafés, together with meandering canal and riverside walks. Slightly further afield, Holmfirth is most recognisable from ’Last of the Summer Wine’ and can be reached in around a 30-minute drive, or around an hour’s scenic car journey across the moors will take you to the tourist hotspots of artsy Hebden Bridge and fabulous Haworth, with its cobbled high street and most famous for its Bronte heritage.
