I booked this place last minute as a base for local road cycling. Was surprised this place was still available! Ideal quiet rural setting with deer in the fields in front and red squirrels in the trees at the back. The house perfectly clean, tidy and equipped. Also spacious car parking and garden. Only small negative to me was that it was not completely secluded as per what the rental agent said, but saying that it is at the end of the row of estate holiday lets. Mobile Signal was hit or a miss depending on time of day - but that and no wifi is pure bliss to me. Mary was very helpful with all my queries before my arrival - a very warm highland welcome WAS very much received! I would recommend and will be back!

The reason for the poor review is the complete lack of customer service during the stay. At no time did we see or speak with anyone from Beaufort Estate. On stats at other cottages we have always been greeted by someone to show us around the property. Not this time. No welcome pack of basics I e. Teabags provided. No cleaning materials, bin bags etc provided. Felt like a reluctant let to maubtsin Estate finances For balance, location was wonderful and property was clean. What a shame.

Lovely Cottage in a beautiful location. Everything you could need for a good holiday. Good road and public transport links nearby and lovely walks by the river and through the estate. My only criticism is the stairs could be dangerous at night as the top step opens onto the landing and if it's dark at night you could forget and fall down the stairs. Could have done with a bit more cleaning equipment ie there was 1 black bag and hardly any washing up liquid no bleach etc. Over all though the cottage was lovely and we will be booking again. We had a lovely relaxing time.

Have been holidaying to cottages for a good few years now and was surprised to find no welcome pack ,stairs in property were very steep with cutouts at top adjacent to bedrooms doors which we found to be dangerous, there was a wasps nest in the eaves of the property outside the front door.we found the location to be very quiet which was perfect.plenty of local villages within 10-20min drive for eating out and Inverness has anything else you might need.

We love this cottage, it is situated in a peaceful location in the countryside. The cottage itself is comfortable and also practical. Excellent location for touring the Highlands.

Not really up on a holiday. We were up this time on a working holiday. We have family in Muir of Ord who are building a house and my wife & myself were up in Scotland helping out with things that need to be done when preparing to move house.

Cosy cottage in a stunning location. The cottage had everything we needed. Our 3 year old loved exploring the garden and woods. The conservatory means there’s additional space to spread out which is useful with kids. As it’s a traditional cottage layout the bathroom was downstairs. Would maybe advise anyone with a toddler to take a stair gate as the bedroom door opens directly onto the top of the stairs.
