    Lovely cozy cottage in the centre of Braithwaite. We've rented quite a few cottages in and around the area and found this to be one of the best equipped of all. Brilliant location to explore Coledale & the Newlands Valleys & the peaks of the NW fells . Keswick is within easy walking distance. Only negative for the cottage is the parking. There's a allocated narrow strip at the side of the cottage but it's awkward to negotiate as the cottage is located at the bottom of the whinlatter pass close to a blind bend. We found it easier parking near the village primary school which was less than 5mins away. Another drawback for beck Edge cottage is that it as no outdoor space but fortunately it's surrounded by gorgeous Lakeland countryside. I would recommend beck Edge cottage definitely book again.

    The house was cold, the heating had not been turned on. The mattresses were lumpy and hard, the pillows and duvets very thin and elderly in appearance. The main bathroom was inadequate. We did, however, like the kitchen. However, it was too small for 5 And only a hand towel was left for the smallest bedroom, which had no where to hang clothes.

    We loved the spaciousness of the cottage and the excellent equipment . We would have appreciated brighter lights in the lounge as we tend to read in the evening rather than use the television . The tumble drier was very useful after a rather wet walk !

    Beautiful barn conversion with excellent facilities. Only downside is located on narrow blind bend which you have to park on, and parking space is very narrow strip at the side of the barn.

    Great place, with everything we needed. The village is gorgeous, very close to Keswick and being on the road was not a problem (we barely heard cars). Will surely come back again.

    I stayed at Beck Edge cottage over the Easter holidays with my partner and his three children. The cottage was perfect for two adults and three children. The only thing that was a little difficult was that the door opens pretty much straight onto the road so maybe with small children it might be an issue. The cottage was clean and decorated well, with great facilities including a washer and dryer which came in handy with the children. I would definitely stay at Beck Edge again and I think that for the price we paid (roughly £100 a night) it was definitely value for money.
