a brilliant holiday let in good weather. Would not want to be here if the weather turned wet as the building could become very damp and dark. But absolutely fantastic if you can get outside and enjoy the magical setting of the beck side patio and waterfall

Great location. Lovely village, so peaceful. Had a fantastic week exploring the dales. One negative ; the outdoor area is in need of attention, it was really overgrown which is a bit off putting when you first arrive.

Great cottage, location is excellent with a lovely waterfall within yards of the cottage. The cottage was warm when needed, everything you need to cook if that’s what you want. Comfortable, plenty of room and great value for sleeping 6. West burton is a lovely place with a butchers, local shop and most of all a pub that sells food. West burton has a children’s play area but my grandson got the most out of paddling/fishing in the beck. There are a couple of walks straight from the cottage. We will be returning. Only little niggle was the upstairs bathroom needs a little updating but it’s not a deal breaker. Great cottage, great location and accepts dogs, win, win for me.

lovely cottage , was nice to have the heating on when we arrived late, as it was cold, everything we wanted was there, the situation next to the Beck, ideal, nice walks from the door, Wensleydale itself , has a lot to offer , Bolton Castle, Rivlueax Abbey, well worth a visit. Will be hard to find a cottage that compares .

Had a fabulous stay at Beck View. Lovely village and great weather. The cottage was like a home away from home and well stocked with games and utensils. Only slight negatives are that the patio is north facing so you don’t get any sun and the bathroom a little dated but that’s only nick picking. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Very relaxing and quiet with many walks right outside the door couldn’t ask for a better position right next to the water.

Booked the cottage for my husbands birthday. It was a lovely weekend. Cottage very clean and warm and cosy. New quilts and pillows which was very nice. A beautiful building and so nice to be next to the water fall “cauldron falls “ the kids loved it. Lovely seating area outside overlooking the beck .Had everything we needed. A great place to stay no complaints what so ever. We will definitely be booking this cottage again.

We stayed at Beck View during Xmas week & hired the studio also, as there were 6 of us. Overall, was very pleased with the property and would stay again if we visit West Burton. My fault and should have organised before travelling, but the studio internal door, which connects Beck view, was locked. This meant we needed to go outside and up the steps for access to the main entrance ( which was a shame). We were advised of the steps to access the lower floor of Beck View and they were difficult at times. Mainly in the dark, as the external lights took a while to activate and one was not working. The kitchen in Beck View is well stocked with equipment and has what looks quite a new washing machine, dryer and dish washer. Reasonable double oven for cooking for 6 and a good size fridge/freezer. We found everything was clean and of good standard. Although the beds/pillows are not overly comfy and could do with an upgrade. The studio was missing quite a few kitchen items and probably best to be stayed in for just a few days - given it's limitations on size and equipment. There is also a problem with damp in the studio and would benefit from better ventilation. One improvement would be useful, is a hand rail to be fitted, where the steep stairs lead down from the front door. That said, we had a lovely Xmas week break at very nice property, in a picturesk village. Helen.

We spent two weeks in Beck View with our dog. It was in a great location with lots of walks straight from the property and the local shop and pub just across the village green. The property itself was quirky and interesting (be prepared for steps!). The kitchen was well-stocked and there was storage space for boots and coats. We found the bed really comfortable. Plenty heat and hot water. Enjoyed having breakfast on the patio next to the beck.
