It has been sympathetically converted to provide a comfortable and spacious apartment across two floors with a large arched window providing stunning views from the sitting area with doors opening to a flagged patio overlooking Walden Beck and along the valley. Beck View is an ideal base to explore the whole of the Yorkshire Dales with walking and cycling directly from the village. The market towns of Leyburn and Hawes Bolton Castle and Aysgarth Falls are a short drive away. Please Note Beck View is next door to The Studio and the two can be booked together to accommodate up to 8 people. " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/143/840/1434348.jpg CC218137

Lovely little cottage, let down by the cleanliness of the garden area.,which requires a jolly good jet hose to clean the stone slabs and steps which made walking lethal when damp( even the dog was slipping all over!). The sitting area is designed for a maximum of 4 people; anyone else has to sit at the kitchen table. The upstairs bedroom is overlooking the sitting room,so if anyone retires whilst others are still watching tv,it’s rather noisy.Despite this the cottage is in a lovely position, very clean and cosy inside and has everything you need for a nice stay.I would recommend a small welcome pack and a Brush for the outside.

Beautiful location. Cottage has some wonderful features. Local pub provides a good solid meal and very friendly. Seating for 6 adults is a bit of squeeze and there is a lack of glasses for 6! Only 4 wine glasses! If you want peace and quiet in a lovely setting this is for you!

Excellent area for walking and exploring the Dales. Many steps and spiral staircase so only for the fit. Spacious and nicely converted.

Five of us (including 1 teenager and an old greyhound!) stayed at Beck View during Christmas week. So we were very disappointed to arrive and find that there were no decorations whatsoever. We rectified that by buying lights, tinsel etc from Yorkshire Trading in Ripon! The cottage was warm and cosy in the evenings. The sofas were comfortable, although it was a squash to seat everyone. The TV was an important feature to us in the evenings. There is a Sky box too, but it only operates as “Freeview” with non of the Sky features enabled. For some reason there are no DVDs, although there is a player ? The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed to cook a full Christmas dinner, and accommodate us all on the day. However the number of wine glasses needs increasing as there are not enough. The single beds downstairs were a little uncomfortable, and those of us in them all struggled to get comfortable. Having two bathrooms was great. A good torch is a must if you stay during winter. The steps to the lower level are very dark (as the middle outside light didn’t seem to work) and were slippery when wet.

a brilliant holiday let in good weather. Would not want to be here if the weather turned wet as the building could become very damp and dark. But absolutely fantastic if you can get outside and enjoy the magical setting of the beck side patio and waterfall

Great location. Lovely village, so peaceful. Had a fantastic week exploring the dales. One negative ; the outdoor area is in need of attention, it was really overgrown which is a bit off putting when you first arrive.

Great cottage, location is excellent with a lovely waterfall within yards of the cottage. The cottage was warm when needed, everything you need to cook if that’s what you want. Comfortable, plenty of room and great value for sleeping 6. West burton is a lovely place with a butchers, local shop and most of all a pub that sells food. West burton has a children’s play area but my grandson got the most out of paddling/fishing in the beck. There are a couple of walks straight from the cottage. We will be returning. Only little niggle was the upstairs bathroom needs a little updating but it’s not a deal breaker. Great cottage, great location and accepts dogs, win, win for me.
