Great location disappointing cottage. No key on arrival leaving me phoning for entry an hour later. Furniture poor quality with damaged and broken furniture. The kitchen needed updating with cooking utensils greasy and unusable. No toilet rolls or simple curticy box of essentials. The windows were disgusting spoiling an amazing view. Paid top money for a poor run down property. Having read other reviews this seems to be an ongoing situation. Would visit resort again but find another property.

Perfect cottage if you have dogs as it is seconds away from a beautiful quiet beach. Great views of the sea from the windows of the lounge on the top floor. Well equipped high quality kitchen. Really nice shower. Comfortable single beds but double bed was uncomfortable and in need of a new mattress. The two flights of stairs to the lounge proved to be rather difficult for me with my dodgy knees and we found the low furniture equally challenging. It's a shame the big windows in the lounge are rusted leaving slight stains down the walls but they will probably be very expensive to replace and did not spoil our overall enjoyment of the cottage.

We really loved our stay at Bede's. It is deceptively spacious too which I don't think comes across in the photos. Big Hallways and a big Utility downstairs were a bonus (when you have a dog - loads of space for his cage). Spacious Bedrooms and a more than comfortable open plan top floor. You can walk straight onto the fabulous Northumbrian Coast and walk for as far as your legs will carry you (heading South that is).

We spent New Year in Bede Cottage and had a great week. The location is excellent, right on the beach which is ideal for children and the dog and it's a lovely walk into Berwick. Also not far from other beautiful places such as Holy Island and Bamburgh. Good train links to Edinburgh and Glasgow too. Bede cottage is a real home from home and has everything you need. We particularly liked the layout. Having the utility on the ground floor was great, particularly for the dog when we'd been on the beach. We would definitely recommend.

Great location next to beach. Roomy and comfortable cottage. Good walk to Berwick with lots of good pubs and restaurants and lovely walks around the town walls.

Stayed here with my daughter and 4 grandchildren in October it was Cosy and clean, however beds and sofa very uncomfortable . A drier would have been useful. Also no WiFi which was a bit inconveinient. Local shop nearby and great access to beach which was fab.

We had an absolutely fantastic holiday ! This apartment is terrific - whether you are a couple or a family! The level of cleanliness was superb and they provide everything you could possibly need to self-cater! Forget the comments from other reviews about the windows - some people just like to find faults with anything! I cannot recommend this property and it’s location highly enough! The beach is 1min walk n it’s gorgeous!!

We love Northumberland and this is the most northerly place we have stayed in the county to date. That is why I chose the option of not returning. Now we have visited the area and the places of interest we planned there are other areas to visit. Spittal beach and it's promenade is great and it is a very quiet area.

A spacious and modern cottage which was spotlessly clean. The appliances were very modern and the furniture and beds very comfortable. We had everything we could have needed in the cottage and more. It was a perfect holiday (and we were lucky to have a week of sunshine). Would definitely stay there again.

The flat has a lovely feel and is very well equipped. It’s also in a great location. The only down side is that some of the furniture and windows could do with replacing. Oh and a sharp knife or two would be very handy. The owners were very helpful and approachable and even replaced the broken extractor fan in the kitchen for us! They left us a generous supply of essentials and some treats and there was even some beach equipment left for us to use.

This is in a good location near a great beach with easy parking. Easy to get into Berwick although description of walking distance is pushing it. We went as a party of 6 which was a tight squeeze especially for sleeping arrangements. Couple of the beds and some of furniture really needs replacing. The upstairs longe/kitchen is light and bright and kitchen space although compact is very functional. Windows etc in need of some maintainance but this is probably reflected in the price. Downstairs utility room with washing machine good feature and small space outside to dry washing
