    Dining/kitchen: With electric cooker, washing machine , tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave, separate dining area overlooking the rear garden and views towards Skiddaw.
    Rear porch: With separate WC and wash hand basin.

    First Floor:
    Bedroom 1: Double bedroom with views towards Grisedale Pike.
    Bedroom 2: Twin bedroom with views towards Skiddaw.
    Bedroom 3: Single bedroom with views towards Grisedale & Swinside.
    Bathroom: With shower over bath, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.

    All fuel and bed linen included. Cot and highchair available. Wi-Fi internet access available.

    Lawned garden to the front and rear terraced garden with patio and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. Bike store. Visit Britain Gold awarded property.

    The Beeches is a fabulous, interesting house, immaculately presented, spacious and airy with a large garden and lovely patio area to enjoy the majestic views of the Skiddaw fells and beyond. From Portinscale take a leisurely 20 minute walk across a country footpath into the bustling market town of Keswick or walk a little further into the village and catch the launch over Derwentwater and land at Theatre by the Lake. Lots of walks and activities on the doorstep just leave the car on the drive and off you go, sailing, mountain biking, fishing or for the less energetic relax in the garden or play some of the many board games at your disposal. For those with bikes, storage is available in the garage. Portinscale has a country pub, hotel and lots of lovely tea rooms along with a marina offering a range of water sports. The Beeches is an ideal base with which to enjoy Keswick, Heart of the English Lakes District.

    A great location for walking and mountain biking. We hardly used the car as we could easily walk or ride in to Keswick for shopping or a meal. The house had everything we needed including a useful rear porch for muddy or wet boys and dogs! The beds were very comfortable so all slept well and were able to thoroughly enjoy our stay.

    Fantastic home from home house in a wonderful location, just a 15 min stroll into Keswick or 15mins to Nichol End to catch the launch around Derwent water. The launch is so convenient as you can hop on and off and take easy walks around the lake. We loved it here and we're booking again for next year.

    As regular visitors to the area, we have stayed in many different holiday accommodations! This rated very highly indeed. The Beeches was a lovely house in a very peaceful village location. Not a sound at night to disturb your sleep. Keswick was accessible by an easy footpath or a short car journey and offers plenty of options for eating, shopping and other leisure activities. The house was well equipped and warm with a lovely large lounge/diner as well as a roomy kitchen/ diner. ( My 8/10 was purely because we found the beds too firm but this is usually the case in holiday accommodation and wouldn't stop us returning! ) It easily catered for dogs and muddy boots with a useful utility area and our bikes were securely stored in the garage. The owner was welcoming and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend the property.

    Ideal location. Access to the drive is tricky to start with, but becomes manageable. Ideally some of the excessive hedge could be trimmed to ease access . Comfortable warm and large rooms. Excellent guides . Excellent variety of dvds if that’s your fancy . Easy stairs. All mod cons . Dogs welcome with their own dog bowl . But tv working via the internet liable to malfunction. And it has just 6 channels “live” . (At least that we could find). Often no phone signal in the house , had to go into the garden.

    Very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely location for walks direct from the front door. Brilliant provision of guide books and touristic materials - everything you could possibly need.
