There are many scenic walks including the South Downs National Park. There is also the cosmopolitan city of Brighton to the east with its Royal Pavilion and Portsmouth to the west, which has Spinnaker Tower, ferry trips to the Isle of Wight and designer retail shopping. Outdoor pursuits such as golf, horseracing, various water sports and cycle routes can all be found in the area. Beach ½ mile. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 20 yards.

Excellent location central to all places to visit. Bonus beach within 5 mins , my 2 dogs loved the beach & rear garden.
Did'nt want for anything. There was even indoor games for the kids. Mainly geared up for doggy folk, but pretty much handy for any activity. I was there for the horse racing.
A massive amount of hard work, effort and thought has gone into this project and it deserves every success.

We had a great time at Beechwood Lodge, it's compact but well equipped, very clean and comfortable. So it was just perfect for us (two adults & two dogs), the secluded woodland garden was properly enclosed as promised, and the dog friendly beach just down the lane was fantastic. Littlehampton is nearby and is a nice town, with all you need if you don't want to go further afield.
This cottage suited our needs. Perfect for a beach walk, away from main road and an enclosed garden which was great for the dogs. Had everything we needed. Plenty hot water, despite a recent comment. Cosy and warm in evening. Was a shame the pub was closed, seemed to be plenty of interest. Cottage is on road, we didn’t feel the traffic was too bad, just people going to beach, other properties or the local health spa, or the pub, as it is still advertised at end of main road.. Very quiet at night, when you need it to be. Great place for us as a couple who wanted to do some walking locally..

Great location for walks from the door. Good base for exploring the south coast and nearby towns and cities. Warm and well equipped cottage in a picturesque location. Small but well thought out, would be a tight squeeze for more than 2, particularly in the lounge area. Kitchen well equipped with plenty of crockery and ovenware. Good parking on site and very close to the beach. As we have 2 dogs we were unable to eat out in the evenings as they cannot be left unattended in the lodge. They are well behaved but large so we tend not to take them out in the evenings. We were disappointed that the pub across the road had shut down as this would have been perfect for us for a drink after a walk with the dogs or for a bite to eat close to home. Website needs updating to inform customers of this however it did not spoil our week and we would recommend Beechwood Lodge to others

A great location for dog walkers who want access to perhaps the best dog walking beach in the country down the road at Climping ! A welcome bonus was that the pub opposite, which the guest book said had ruined some nights with noise until after midnight, had just closed and was up for sale, so we had peace and quiet and slept well in the first class bed.
In fact the whole accommodation was superbly equipped, from living space with TV and wifi through the kitchen area to the bedroom and ensuite bathroom. It was amazing to see what can be achieved in a converted single garage, for that is what this is. Marion the owner had even decorated the place for Christmas, tastefully and really very nicely. We had everything we needed, tastefully chosen and new looking. We cannot praise the interior design highly enough. A little expensive for what it is, but all in all a nice quite place to stay close to a great beach, with a nice walk to Littlehampton and back. You need a car to get anywhere else though.
As this property is opposite a public house it was alright staying there out of season. In season I feel the public house would be crowded making staying here unpleasant.
Lovely place to stay well equipped, nice local walks.
Very small but comfortable and well equipped. It is opposite a country pub but we didn't hear any noise, - although we weren't there over a weekend, it may be a bit noisier then. Five minute walk to the beach.
Was a lovely place needs a little tic shower drips and bathroom sink loose and bathroom fan needs to be replaced apart from those issues lovely place in a good location would recommend
This place was great. We had a lovely stay. I was expecting it to be tiny from the pictures but it was so well designed inside that it felt much more spacious than it was. Very modern and very clean, great shower and everything you need was provided. The children (aged 10 & 12) really liked the secret attic bedroom. Very young children would not be able use the attic ladder safely but could use the sofa bed in the lounge instead. The fenced garden was good and the dog enjoyed sitting outside the front door in the morning sunshine (otherwise the garden is a bit too shady to sit in, but good for a game of fetch) We all said we really enjoyed our stay here and would happily return
