On one hand, you get what you pay for and this was a good price. We weren’t expecting high spec accommodation but the place could do with a thorough deep clean and some updating. White sofas not a good choice for child and dog friendly cottage. Kitchen in particular needs cleaning and sorting - it would be far better to get rid of all the odds and ends in drawers, on shelves, in cupboards etc and just provide a basic clean set of six of everything! On the plus side, the bedrooms were pleasant enough and spacious, and the use of the pool was great for the children. We found enough things to do within 40 mins drive. Having a washing machine is very useful. Some signage around the site would be handy as it took us a while to figure out which parts were the owners private gardens etc. The pool and gardens are slightly away from the cottages next to the owner’s house. Would we recommend? If you’re on a tight budget this is good value, but in our experience spending a bit more would probably make quite a difference in the standard of accommodation you get...
