I have just returned from this cottage after a weeks stay, there were four adults and two small dogs. We found the cottage reasonably easy to find but called the owner to guide us in the last few hundred metres as google maps is slightly out. It is based down single track farm roads so is nicely out of the way but it was very easy to get onto the main roads to travel further afield. There are supermarkets roughly a 20minute drive away, but we chose to order a shopping delivery which arrived to us no problem and meant we didn't have to go back out shopping after our arrival. The cottage itself was really lovely, the living room is a lot bigger than expected and all three bedrooms are well sized. It was really handy having the full bathroom then a second seperate toilet with an airing cupboard to dry your clothes (also a small dryer in the carport). The living room had a beautiful open fire with a huge supply of logs in the carport so we had a fire everyday. The kitchen is well equipped with all the cutlery and crockery you will need and the cooker was so easy to use. The Wifi is a bit hit and miss in bad weather but we managed to stream Netflix with no issues. The garden is really dog friendly as it is completely surrounded by fencing even behind the hedges even my chihuahua could not escape. The owners were really lovely and adressed any issues we had very quickly, I would definately stay here again and would suggest it as a good base for the surrounding areas including edinburgh which we visited on two days.

Great cottage in fabulous countryside location. Owners could not have been more friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it for those who want some peace and quiet, yet still with villages and Jedburgh a short distance away.
