We had a short but lovely break in this fabulous, comfortable and cosy cottage. Beautifully decorated and well-equipped. Easy to find and plenty of parking. I would definitely return.

We were delighted with everything about the cottage, started with the friendly welcome from Mary the owner. A welcome pack of fresh eggs, a wonderful home baked Victoria sponge and milk in the fridge. Who could ask for more. Would definitely recommend.

We had a fantastic week in Bill's Cottage despite the rain! Very comfortable home-from-home with excellent facilities for visitors with dogs. Very private with its own entrance and drive, well-equipped kitchen and laundry room, modern bath/shower rooms and comfortable bedrooms. Would visit again.

A fabulous holiday, we were welcomed with fresh bread milk and one of the best homemade cakes we have ever had. There was a fabulous supply of information on the local area and to be honest the property is so well placed we didn’t have to travel anymore than half an hour to most of it. The kitchen was very well equipped. We would wholeheartedly recommend hiring the cottage.

Bills Cottage is in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds. It is quiet but still close enough to major attractions. The large parking area and garden are private and gated which makes coming and going very easy. They have a friendly pony called Button's who was particularly popular with our children. The cottage has potential for us to rate it highly and we enjoyed our stay, however there are a number of items which mean we will not recommend it to family and friends. The refurbishment in 2012 was clearly done well but it is now due a deep clean and spruce up throughout. The rug in the lounge is dirty and was covered in dog hairs which we had to thoroughly vacuum so that our infants and toddlers could hygienically play and crawl etc. The vacuum was also very dirty and needs a new filter as it was giving off a strong wet dog smell when used. We knew this was a dog friendly cottage but expected evidence of previous dog visits to be largely cleaned away. The barbecue was very dirty and so we had to clean it thoroughly before use. We were told to burn the grease off but it was beyond the point of this being effective. We expected it to have been cleaned before our arrival. The upstairs shower rail is broken and the shower head slips down when in use. We were told there is not time to fix it between guests so I was given a rubber band followed by a plastic clip to fix it but these were not up to the job. We ended up all having to shower downstairs all week. Two of the bedroom doors do not shut without significant force and noise. This meant the toddlers both woke up whenever we needed to enter their room. We could not leave their door open due to the stairs. The cottage is on a working farm which is nice, however some harvesting was done one evening while we ate dinner outside. The amount of dust it created made it hard to breathe and see so we had to abandon our meal and run inside with as much as we could. Advance notice would have allowed us to plan around the activities. All of the above is easily addressed, we still enjoyed our stay and so once done I am sure future visitors will have an even more enjoyable time here.

We had a wonderful stay in this superb cottage which is so well equipped and very comfortable. The feeling of space and high ceilings for a completely renovated old cottage is a definite bonus. There is plenty of hot water, powerful showers and comfortable beds. We enjoyed log fires every evening during our cold and wet week in June! The location of Bill’s Cottage is ideal with views of beautiful countryside, lovely walks and so many many things to see and do in easy reach. There is an excellent pub in nearby Northleach.

A wonderful break in an excellent cottage in an idyllic location!

Lovely cottage. Had everything you could hope for, extremely clean. Mary provided a cot with a great mattress and high chair for our baby. Weather was lovely so we made good use of the BBQ and garden. Only one glitch in the week was the hot water running out but it was rectified the next day. TV aerial isn't great so if you're planning on watching a lot maybe consider bringing a device to watch Netflix / Now TV on.

Excellent accommodation very well located in quiet lane. Great for family break. Welcome cake bread and flowers were a very nice touch. Hope to stay again in the future.
