Amazing location, clean and well maintained. Would love to visit again if I'm up in the lake district. Like a mini home from home.

This simple but comfortable stable conversion overlooks the most glorious scenery which can be viewed from the small private patio. We loved its position and relative isolation yet also its ease of access to Boot (20 mins drive) with its water mill and pubs, riverside walks and base for longer hill climbs. We'd love to come back again and would definitely recommend it. Only quibble was no hairdryer. For those holidaying in colder months this could be annoying.

Ideal location if you want a break from everyday life, phone signal with a short walk!! Amazing scenery and walks and the cottage was welcoming and cosy with the log burner. There is so much to do in the Lake District.

It was in a beautiful rural location, very peaceful and quiet, it was a very relaxing stay. We loved the wood burner, some of the logs were a bit big, which needed to be cut down in order to fit into the stove. There wasn't any kindling, so my husband had to chop kindling from the firewood. It would also have been handy if there was more toilet paper. Overall, it was a great stay, it is very rustic and it is in a rural location, so you will need to take some food items with you, so you have some supplies, as the nearest shop with minimal supplies is in Ulpha (Post Office) which is about a 15 minute drive. Be aware that there are 4 gates to open and close before you get to the cottage, this was ok for us, but may not appeal to others. Be aware the water is supplied from the local fells and it is filtered, but does come out in a yellowish colour, which could be off-putting for some, especially when using it for bathing.

Nice and secluded with lovely views and great walks. Fire was lovely and warm. We also liked the fact it was old fashioned has it added to the ambionse. Will be booking again.
