I went to Swan House with my wife and 2 teenage girls (daughter and her friend) I was genuinely surprised by how well equipped the cottage was, with fans, heaters and a first-class boiler which pumped the heat out when required. The beds were comfortable and warm, the kitchen fully equipped with oven and hob, and a full range of pots, pans, plates and dishes. The view from the well-tended back garden was spectacular and the mist on the hills in the evening was wonderful. Only a couple of miles away was Keswick, which offers a full array of food and drink stores, a first class fish and chip shop, the Pencil Museum and the Puzzling Place. All worth a visit. We enjoyed our holiday so much we tried to extend our stay, but sadly the 'Staycation' trend prohibited it - no availability. Five+ stars for the cottage, the location and the surrounding countryside.

We enjoyed a week here in August, 4 adults and 2 toddlers. It was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. It was disappointing and surprising that no towels were provided and there was no wifi either. That was slightly problematic due to lack of reception on mobile phone in that area. Overall we did have a lovely relaxing holiday and enjoyed the view from the living room window and the lovely communal garden too.
