Great views and handy for local beaches and villages. Nice walks in the fields and woods around the cottage, but shops and pubs etc are a drive away. Cottage well fitted out and meets all needs.

We stayed at this lovely, snug cottage for a week and used it as a base to explore this beautiful part of the country. The cottage was well equipped and furnished to a very high standard with an added extra of a roll-top bath, which kept the wife very happy. Blackgill cottage is very close to so many, pretty & quaint places to visit & we had a fantastic holiday. Annette was very hospitable & was always available if needed. I would highly recommend this cottage if you want to get away from it all & relax with beautiful views of the coast.

We had a fantastic holiday in Blackgill Lodge. The owner was so friendly, helpful and a great host to her beautiful home. I only scored the location an 8 and local amenities as the cottage is not located in a village or near a pub etc but that was fine for us as we loved sitting in the garden at night with a glass of wine. The cottage is beautifully decorated and really well equipped. If I could have scored it more than ten then I would! Can’t wait to go back again soon.

Amazing quiet and scenic location, half a mile down a gravel track, Really good facilities everything we needed for a week of Rest and Relaxation, Bed was very comfortable and slept really well. Views looking down towards Staithes and having coffee on the balcony will stay with us forever. Tally our little dog loved it too with plenty of walks at hand! Pubs are a little further away than advised but still within walking distance! One of the best cottages we have ever stayed at!.

So much thought has gone into the design to make this cottage so very special. Fantastic location with spectacular outlook. Nicely off the beaten track. The owner lives in the adjacent property and made us feel very welcome. Nothing seemed too much trouble to help us get the most out of our holiday.
