This really is a wildlife lover’s haven with sole use of a sitting-out area with furniture and a hammock as well as dedicated use of the unspoilt woodland grounds. Only 50 yards away there is shared use of a heated indoor plunge pool sauna Jacuzzi and table tennis available all year except 16th Nov-5th Jan. Amongst the numerous walks direct from your door are England’s highest tarn Jake’s Rake Ridge and Scafell Pike. Nearby Ambleside has historic sites such as the roman fort and Lake Windermere where you can enjoy a lake cruise visit the Lake District Visitor Centre or explore the Beatrix Potter Exhibition at Bowness.     Lovely location that is right in the heart of the Lakes. Blea Tarn is one of those prefabricated cabins that for us provide a good amount of space but like with all these types of accomodation they can feel a little cramped. The owner was very helpful to us and certainly would think about going there again.

    The whole site of many properties is quite 'tucked away' and is very pleasant and peaceful. Blea Tarn is in a particularly good position - not overlooked, pleasant garden, peaceful and yet close to the communal pool. The bedrooms are on the small side but manageable while the living space is very good. The kitchen is well equipped although, unbelievably, there is no teapot! The wi-fi is not free and there is no washing machine in the cottage; there is one communal machine two minutes' walk away in the same building as the swimming pool. All the arrangements worked well.
