Our 3rd visit to Blea Yarn and we loved it all over again. Glad to see a new bathroom has been fitted along with improvements in the kitchen. The setting is wonderful and local wildlife including a red squirrel, Woody the woodpecker, a deer and loads of woodland birds are frequent visitors. Ambleside is a 10min drive and has plenty of places to eat. We visited The Log House, The Queens and The Priest Hole. Never had a bad meal. Would recommend Blea to anyone. There is plenty of room.

Location, location, location ... it's got it. Great walks from the doorstep, lovely bakery/cafe 5 min's down the hill, small swimming pool on site to keep kids happy on rainy days. Birds galore in the garden along with badger(s) if you don't mind staying up late. Cottage well equipped and warm which is necessary for autumn/winter.

Very quiet and relaxing but we did go at the end of Oct .Having to pay extra for WiFi felt a bit penny pinching . Wildlife great to watch and shed outside great to store bikes .
