Totally loved Bluebell Cottage. We really wanted to get away from the rat race and the cottage gave us that. There are great shops in Garstang and a big Sainsbury’s. It was also a great base for us to travel out from, we finally made it to Whitby Abbey. We would definitely recommend it for those in love with a quieter way of living, those who love nature and for those keen to walk. The owners are lovely and the neighbours are great, so friendly. We loved it.

Lovely place, small and cosy but you have to drive to get to any shops so go prepared. Would definitely go again and my dogs loved being on the edge of a forest.

bluebell cottage is te perfect location for walks, especially for dog owners. Although not many facilities in the village, Garstang is not far in a car and this charming market town has many cafes, restaurants, again nice walks. The neighbours in the surrounding village were very friendly, and the owners of the cottage were lovely to deal with. The cottage was well equipped, clean and cosy. a perfect retreat.

Lovely cottage, it is a lovely location but own transport is essential. No shops or pubs within 3 miles. Communication with the owner was good. Some negative points but we did enjoy our stay.

While a quite charming property, it was not in an acceptable condition in terms of cleanliness and overall hygiene. We are of the view that it smelt of tom cat urine.

What a wonderful place to stay, a snap of paradise. So peaceful tranquil and relaxing. Please don't visit if you are expecting buzzing night life. But please visit if you want to relax and enjoy the wonders of the environment. The walks are great. The cottage is an old Mill workers cottage so please don't expect modernity but do expect a cosy warm and comfortable place to stay. The owners are fantastic as are the neighbours who are very friendly and helpful. We will be going back.

When I booked the cottage it clearly said there was two parking spaces at the side of the cottage yes there is but any one can park there I had to leave my car in the middle of the village because there was a great big van parked at the side of the cottage taking up the parking space and I was not prepared to leave my two week old car with the back end sticking out on the road I arrived on Saturday and left the cottage on the Monday so I did not have a hoilday

Cottage was clean and tidy, bed really comfortable, sofa not so. Clear the owners look after the property and care for it. Not really suitable for anyone over five foot as I’m 6”2 and constantly kept banging my head pretty much in every room, especially near the kitchen sink which pretty much ruined it for me as I couldn’t move around freely. Would help if this was stated as if it was we wouldn’t have booked this cottage due to my height. The enclosed front garden is as said but no where near high enough to keep in a rescue dog such as ours who bolts away at the slightest sound so we felt a little aggrieved and misled about that part of the cottage. No phone signal as advertised fair enough but wi fi signal was also very weak. Overall whilst the walks for our dog were fantastic we were disappointed with the accommodation.

Lovely area to stay. Garstang 4 miles away unspoilt town with excellent amenities, very dog friendly, all cafes allowed dogs in. Could have done with brighter lighting, found it difficult to read. Definitely needed a vacuum cleaner, especially when you have 2 dogs. Overall we all enjoyed our stay at the cottage and would stay again
