    > Approached by an impressive driveway flanked by trees, these converted former stables buildings occupy a picturesque setting in the grounds of Georgian Grade II listed Blyth View, once serving as a workhouse. Now converted into residences with extensive grounds and a resident’s leisure facility, Blyth View enjoys an elevated position above the Blyth Valley. Surrounded by open countryside, it makes a tranquil setting, yet the Suffolk Heritage Coast, and the towns of Southwold and Walberswick are a mere 10 minutes’ drive. Dunwich, Minsmere bird reserve, Aldeburgh and Snape are all within ½-hour drive. Shop and pub ¾ mile.

A nice place to stay. With no WiFi it needs a good working TV - we had a few problems getting a connection, this can be an issue with the children. We loved having a pool and games room ?

Tried to get in contact with caretaker as we needed a stair gate, it did say there was one in info about cottage. Left a message on answer phone but had no reply, would be advantageous if message on answer phone was a personal one not a phone generated one. Otherwise cottage was great and in a lovely location. Did get ants in the kitchen in the last 2 days but didn't report it as thought caretaker wouldn't have bothered getting in touch.

Great cottage in beautiful area with good access to local towns such as Southwold and Aldeburgh. Good facilities on site with the shared pool, gymn and games room. However, the cottage could do with a second toilet or washroom as one just isnt enough for a 6 person accommodation.

We had a lovely stay at the old stables. The cottage had everything we needed apart from wifi.. which would have made it so much better as it is a very secluded spot. It was clean and spacious. They gave us tea coffee milk and biscuits as a welcome which was a lovely touch. The log fire was great! Nice and close to southwold. The only reason I wouldn't return is because there was not much for us as a young couple with baby to do there and things were a bit too far away. Having said that we had a lovely day at the zoo and arcades at pier!

A well-equipped holiday cottage in a rural situation, but close to may places of interest. Many board games and books for all ages, and a shared use of a swimming pool, games room and gym equipment. We had a problem with the heating on arrival but the owner and the caretaker were very efficient and helpful and the problem was solved quickly. The cleaning service though was not up to scratch ... The table cloth was very sticky, had clearly not been cleaned and the carpets had not been hoovered (dog's hair)
