There are many attractions of scenic and historical interest within easy reach including Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, Cawdor and Brodie castles, or take a trip along the Malt Whisky Trail - the only one of its kind in the world. Visit some of the beautiful scenic fishing villages dotted along the Moray coastline - voted one of the world’s top 20 coastal destinations. Inverness, the Highland capital, is only 14 miles away where you will find a large variety of shops, fine restaurants, pubs, theatre, museums and galleries. Amongst the many activities available are boat trips and watersports on Loch Ness, or the Moray coast where you may catch sight of bottlenose dolphins. For the outdoor enthusiast, you can mountain bike and walk in the many forest trails, golf on some of the many excellent courses this area boasts, or photograph the huge abundance of bird and wildlife on the doorstep.
