Formerly three cottages they have been beautifully converted. Bodlasan Groes House comprises two of the old cottages with a conservatory linking the two parts of the house whilst Bodlasan Groes Cottage can either be rented separately or booked together with the House to make one large property. Bodlasan Groes Cottage ref 26946 has a patio area outside the conservatory and Bodlasan Groes House ref 29647 has a separate rear garden both with wonderful sea views and ideal for relaxing with a drink in the evening sun as it sets over Holyhead Mountain. They both also share a large enclosed lawned front garden. From the property a private track leads 400 yards down to the deserted Traeth Gribyn beach offering superb sand rockpools and bathing sheltered by the breakwater for Holyhead Harbour 3 miles away. Sea fishing for sea bass is available from Traeth Gribyn beach no licence required. Alternatively you can visit Stanley Embankment 4 miles by road where there is a constant flow of water in and out of the inland sea. Fresh water fishing is available on Llyn Alaw which is the largest lake on Anglesey less than 5 miles away where you can hire a boat and purchase day passes. The Anglesey Coastal Path runs north up the spectacular coast to Carmel Head and offers a great way to explore the whole 125-mile coastline of Anglesey. The countryside is a birdwatcher’s paradise as well as a huge variety of common birds and seabirds red kites sparrowhawks and owls can often be seen. Migrating geese gather in the area and there is an official RSPB sanctuary and viewing point at Ellin’s Tower near South Stack. For children the Anglesey Sea Zoo and Foel Farm Park in Brynsiencyn are well worth a visit. Horse riding nearby. Shop pub and restaurant 1 mile beach \n14\n mile. Plenty of room but strange layout. Not suitable for family with several children even though it is 4 bedroomed. 2 cottages connected only by a conservatory on the back. One cottage has a large kitchen/diner and a lounge with mezzanine floor, 4 poster bedroom and large bathroom. Shower needs a new fitting on the wall. The other cottage had 3 bedrooms upstairs but shower room was on ground floor. There were 2 kitchens, the small one was a waste of space but had the only freezer. The large kitchen was good however the lighting was very poor. There was space for the fridge freezer in the large kitchen which would have been a lot more convenient. There were several light bulbs not working but no spare bulbs. All the door locks were very stiff, we used WD40 on them which helped considerably. Having said that it was a nice outlook from the conservatory towards the sea. You could see the ferries docking over the water at Holyhead. It is about a mile down a single lane road from the main road. It is situated in the middle of farmland so there were a lot of flies coming into the house if you opened any windows. There were good sized walled gardens at the front and back. It just felt a bit unloved.

Fantastic location to the beach and lovely to be able to explore Anglesey. Well equipped and very comfortable. Everything you need for a lovely breakaway from the real world!

Very satisfied, find the shower in the bathroom very old and difficult to have the right mixture of water.i have quite a few unpleasant surprise to have cold water or too hot water.Need to be replaced. Very lovely couple. Overall, nice, quiet and very relaxing

A lovely cottage in a great rural position. Very comfortable and well equipped Met the owners, friendly and really nice people

Overall a great stay. Pros: Peaceful location, secure rear garden, deserted beach just a stroll away, good sized kitchen and main lounge. Shops just a short drive away as well as more populated beaches. Cons: Beds were a bit lumpy. Master bed (the four poster) is a double and single bed pushed together but no topper. Moving between the two sides of the house is through the conservatory which makes the house feel very divided. We didn't use the second lounge, kitchen or dining room at all, just the 3 beds. Seems a waste of space and could be better utilised by knocking through from the main kitchen.

Love staying here. It is off the beaten track but that suits us as we love the peace and quiet. The views are amazing. Have 2 dogs so the enclosed garden is lovely and the beach a short distance away.
