The master bedroom is superb with a splendid en-suite shower room and large walk-in wardrobe whilst the twin room has access to the Jack-and-Jill bathroom which is modern and sleek. The beds are super comfy and are complemented by fine, crisp white linen. With a modern and extremely well-equipped kitchen and utility room Galloway Place Lodge is just wonderful. Outside there is a small enclosed garden as well as wrap-around decking both to the front and rear of the Lodge and the views to the rear are to die for overlooking the majestic Criffel. Southerness sits in a spectacular corner of Dumfries and Galloway, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and from Galloway Place Lodge you are only a short stroll from the long sandy beach where you can walk for miles when the tide is out and has undoubtedly some of the most outstanding views of the Solway Firth with views towards the Lake District hills in the distance. Explore the beach and striking white lighthouse, originally built in 1749, and the second oldest lighthouse in Scotland. With lots on-site to entertain the whole family including the indoor swimming pool and entertainment nights as well as restaurants, pubs, and shops (seasonal) in the village.

You have an ideal place at Galloway Place Lodge if you want to explore further afield the delights of Dumfries and Galloway from its beaches and coves to cliff-top walks and forest trails. A popular area for walkers and cyclists with world-class mountain biking at Mabie and Dalbeattie 7Stanes nearby and some magnificent gardens, castles, and ancient monuments to explore. Wildlife abounds and the RSPB nature reserve is just along the coast and is well worth a visit at any time of year.
