Holiday cottage was well equipped clean and comfy just what the family needed

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Booth Cottage. The cottage had everything we needed, was quiet and peaceful with lovely views all around. There is plenty to do in the area and a walk up the hill next to the cottage is recommended. Overall a nice stay and our kids (age 9 and 2) would happily go back.

Superb location if you like peace, quiet, views and walks from the door! Very well presented cottage with plenty of space and good quality furnishings. We had perfect weather, which always helps. In fact we were too warm, particularly overnight, we prefer the bedroom quite cool. Plenty of space for our dogs travel crates.

Beautiful and peaceful... Really enjoyed our break thank you

Booked the bungalow based on the photos on the website but these were very misleading. We believe that many were of the adjoining bungalow. The property we stayed in was in need of updating. It fails to show you that you are on the doorstep of a farm and the view from the main entrance of the bungalow overlooks their back garden. The bungalow was not clean on our arrival and had a strong odour of dogs (we took 2 dogs with us as it is pet friendly but we did not expect it to smell). There was dust on the TV stand, smears on the windows, cup stains on the tables, a rusty and greasy hob/extractor fan, kitchen utensils were worn and needed replacing. The WiFi did not work. The owners tried their best to rectify this for us but we felt it should have been clean on arrival. We did not find it pleasant being right next door to a farm. However there are stunning views of the hills and it is great for dog walking. We decided to stay at this property but came home a day early.

Second time at Booth Farm, a bit disappointed on this occasion, outside seating area was largely overgrown with weeds and the ashtray was full.WIFI non existent, windows to both bedrooms jammed in the vent position, and has previous guests had mentioned, the porch door was extremely difficult to both lock and unlock, however this did not spoil our holiday as the cottage is in a stunning location, just needs a little TLC.

Lovely well maintained cottage with outstanding views of surrounding countryside.

Brilliant place for a total chill out.

Well equipped, very clean away from it all property which is what we wanted. Only suggestion would be for the owners to take note of some of the guest comments in the visitor book.

What a fabulous place to stay. Great location if you enjoy the outdoor life with stunning scenery. It was perfect for us to stay with our 2 little dogs as there was plenty of walking available from the cottage. We were visiting Chatsworth Horse Trails and the drive to and from Chatsworth was very easy and took us through beautiful countryside. We highly recommend and we would love to stay again.

Fab place to stay in a beautiful part of the world. Lovely view out of bungalow although it was closer to farm and farm buildings than expected so not as private as I would have liked. Nearby areas great to walk in Buxton, Errwood Reservoir. Only downside WiFi was poor not a problem for me but my teenager trying to do her GCSE exam practice struggled .. no telephone reception either as no signal. Would be better to disclose this as I always look for WiFi when booking so would expect it to work.
