This old tin miner’s cottage is set in the small rural Hamlet of Boscaswell and is tucked away off the scenic coastal road that runs between Land’s End and St Ives. The Cottage stands in its own large and pretty garden with unspoilt views across the rugged coastline towards the cliffs at Pendeen. From the garden you can walk out at the back and be straight on to the stunning south west coastal footpath. This beautiful area far West of Cornwall is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a Unesco World Heritage Site, and a Conservation Area. It is within a short level walk of the local Village of Pendeen which has three public houses, a café, a village shop, and post office.
The Cottage is also within a short walk of Pendeen Lighthouse, Boat Cove which is used by locals fishing and crabbing in their small Fishing Boats, and the gorgeous sandy Portheras Cove. There is also access from here on to the South West Coast Path. The St Just Area is famed for its mining heritage, great beaches, and rugged coastline. Filming of the Poldark TV Series has taken place in many sites around St Just and Pendeen. From Pendeen you can explore the magnificent West Cornwall coast including, Land’s End, Marazion, St Michaels Mount, Mousehole, Cape Cornwall and St Ives. There are a huge number of places of interest further afield such as Falmouth, Truro, Padstow, Port Isaac, The Eden Project & Heligan Gardens that can be reached easily by car.
This area of West Cornwall has it all and not only is it exquisite and charming, but on your doorstep of this lovely cottage are beautiful beaches, traditional fishing villages, stunning coastal walks and a plethora of National Trust properties and family attractions.
