Lovely , comfortable well- equipped dog friendly lodge. We enjoyed a lovely weekend here in May. Loved the hot tub. Location of lodge was nice & views were beautiful. Lots to do in bowness on Windermere and surrounding areas. We were a little overlooked by the other lodges ( may have squashed too many lodges onto site ) Good amenities on the park site, went to pub Hayford Inn twice & had lovely meals there. Nice to walk round the park in the evenings. Kids loved the play area & stream was pretty too. Dog field was a nice idea, but un- impressed by barbed wire on one edge of the field- potentially quite dangerous if my dog tried jumping over as it was only 3ft tall ).

Double Mattress needs a replacement ASAP which other holiday makers noted in the visitors book, also blinds needs renewing but overall the lodge was ok for a long weekend stay.

Stayed in this lodge from 15th-18th March. From walking in to the whole stay I was impressed. Its much bigger than expected and the owners have thought of every little touch that you need for your stay!! Only suggestions would be a new mattress in the double room ? Overall cleanliness and location was perfect.

very good base to enjoy walking and the site was well equipped & the bar / food was excellent. Hot tub a bit old and the rough finish was not great but we are spoilt as own our own modern hot tub. think for new users it is fine.

Beautiful lodge with a beautiful setting mountain backdrop very peaceful and relaxing. The hot tub was the perfect addition to relax under the stars. The lodge had everything you needed and more. These people have thought of everything from tourches to flasks. I would definitely recommend this place. There were a few bits that do need maintain tho but apart from that it’s lovely thank you

We had a great few days in Bowness lodge, we never had a pen to leave a note in the guest book! Only couple of things we’d say stuck out were the double bed was a little a comfortable and the hot tub wouldn’t heat up on the first evening, after a while of googling and you tubing we rang one of the numbers in the info book for help who said it needed to warm up and wouldn’t be warm enough until the following day due to a change of water from the previous guests. This was ok but may be worth leaving a note in the guest info book to advise this in future? Puzzles were a fab pass time for a chilled holiday too! Cutlery and a few other bits of crockery were a tad dirty. Other than that it was a lovely place to stay! Hot tub was amazing once we could use it, especially after a 7 mile walk up and around Wansfell Pike! Thank you, Chris and Tash.

Perfect holiday for our first time away with our 3 month old baby, had everything we needed for a perfect relaxing break away. The hot tub was a massive hit when it came to enjoying some peace and quiet once baby was asleep! Will definitely be back!!
