We had a lovely few days here. The lodge has everything you could require and the hot tub was a great bonus. Its looking a bit tired in places but it was clean and warm although the radiator in the main bathroom needs attention. The site itself has a nice pub/restaurant, a small shop, playground area and dog facilities. They have probably squeezed to many lodges onto the site as space between the plots is quite tight but all the roads are well surfaced and in good condition. Troutbeck itself is a lovely little place with a couple of nice pubs within easy walking distance and in a good spot to explore the rest of the lakes.

Could do with freshening up a little. In need of a little paint here and there. It’s got everything you would need on a break away. Short of nothing. Overall nice lodge.

Loved our little break to the lakes! Lodge was in a great place to access different parts of the lakes. Would definitely go again!

Holiday was a lovely break despite the rain. Location was a bit of an issue due to having to get taxis to go to Ambleside at night as other than the site there was nowhere within walking distance. Great log cabin and hot tub.

We had a fab time and our dog loved every minute!

the lodge is in a perfect spot for walking and all amenities. The lodge itself could do with a bit of TLC and a new set of sofas and the fridge needs attention otherwise it was perfect. The hot tub is a nice addition especially after a long walk.

We enjoyed our 4 night break, the lodge was really nice bad WiFi hit and miss needs a booster fitting. Tin opener needs an upgrade or take your own. We had no hot water one evening and rang the emergency number which was left in the manual and the engineer turned out within the time he stated. The hot tub was amazing never thought i would enjoy it like i did. It rained for the full time we were there but it didn't spoil a thing. Would definateley recommend
