The town is steeped in history with a 13th century cathedral and various other beauty spots. The Fortrose & Rosemarkie links golf course is just a short walk, also on Chanonry point. The town sits on the south side of the Black Isle, just 15 miles from Inverness and a 10 minute detour off the NC500 route.
