The apartment is in a fantastic location, on the seafront with unrestricted views across the bay. There is a warning though in that there are a lot of steps to get to the property and 2 flights of stairs to the flat. The flat itself is clean and comfy, plenty of seats to relax in, full kitchen with plenty of pans, dishes and utensils, dishwasher and washing machine. Tea, coffee and even washing up liquid supplied.
Beds are comfortable with plenty of bedding. Bathrooms clean and modern with a lovely shower in the ensuite. The other 2 bedrooms did not have wardrobes but did have rails to hang your clothes. There is a DVD, which at first didn't work, but we found a lead was out at the back. It was very short and can become dislodged whilst cleaning or moving.
There is plenty of on street parking at the front, although it does become quite full once the visitors and walkers arrive. There is a concrete pathway along the beach at the end of the road, however, this does end and you have to carry on along the mud/sand, so bring wellies with you! It is a lovely walk but was very windy when we were there. It was a lovely mild and sunny day but it is deceiving as you get further out along the coast.
There are lovely boutique shops 5 minutes down the road, a fabulous pie shop/cafe with pies and cakes baked on the premises and a couple of other cafes. There are also 2 pubs that sell food. We were a little disappointed in the Fighting Cocks as they advertised a quiz night and live music, but actually had neither.
The station is 10 minute walk and for £4.20 we had a return to Ulverston and spent a lovely day out there.
All in all this is a fantastic place and would difinitley recommend and return here.
