This barn is beautiful. Such a relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting. I could live at the barn. I'm glad we had a car as was able to travel around. I was hoping to walk my dog into the village especially on an evening but felt due to the narrow country lanes, no paths and limited street lights this wasn't really an option but it didn't put a dampener on things. As we've had some great weather I feel a fan would be a great addition to the property as although you can open all patio doors and windows, you can't do this all the time and you tend to get a lot of flies. Overall we did love it and will return in the future 😊

Excellent accommodation, great location if you want to be in the middle of nowhere. You will need a car to get around. Perfect for peace & quiet.

The cottage was fabulous had everything you could ask for however as I stated in their guest book there are a few things that could be improved upon 1. The duvet were too heavy for spring summer 2. The towels although fluffy and lovely should have been bath sheets 3. There were no extra pillows or sheets left 4. Although the owners were next door they never introduced themselves 5. The homemade cake that was left for us was a very nice gesture and very much appreciated 6.lack of any information on places to visit, see or do very disappointing

Absolutely beautiful , wish we could have stayed longer, lovely beds and soft towels , and a lovely home made cake on arrival

What a beautiful cottage. We had fab weather and a fantastic holiday. But the best bit was the cake waiting for us on arrival. Superb.

We were not disappointed with the weather or the property. Having visited Somerset a number of times we still found areas not visited before and had a very enjoyable week

We enjoyed our holiday at Long Barn . The welcome cake was delicious. A very friendly owner . The Barn was spotless clean , comfortable sofas and beds with lovely bed linen Just a few alterations and the Long Barn would be perfect . Lack of storage in the bedrooms. There were no wardrobes just 3 coat pegs in each bedroom. The only and small chest of drawers in the back bedroom needed attention. Just one bath towel and one hand towel per person.

Beautiful place, wonderfully done, very warm and welcoming - we will be back ;-)

Lovely holiday. Possibly a bit remote for some.

Excellent cosy cottage with all home comforts and very dog friendly, although walking from the cottage was limited to country roads as all footpaths and bridleways were very muddy after much recent rain. The cottage and area was very peaceful and relaxing, would definitely return and hope for better weather.

We enjoyed a lovely long weekend at Long Barn. Cottage was warm and cosy with high quality fittings. The en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower was very handy too and the bed very comfy. Great views from the patio doors across the fields to the farm. We had our own min-murmuration of starlings over the cattle sheds and we saw a short-eared owl. Ideal location for visiting Ham Wall and Avalon Marshes reserves. We saw thousands of starlings at Ham Wall but they were not inclined to give a big display whilst we were there. The huge groups of lapwings made up for it though. Enjoyed a great lunch at the George Inn in Castle Care, attended by some very friendly locals and it has some nice little shops and cafés. Short drive to Glastonbury and Wells and Street has the Clarke's Village retail village if you want to do some shopping. If you are like us and just want to wander round the marshes and soak up the views then this is a great base.

Superb cottage renovated to high standard. Owner very kindly left us a wonderful cake as welcome gift which was delicious. However it would have been good for a few basics like milk, eggs and bread as the local shop was not that close. All in all a lovely stay though

Delightful cottage perfect for a break away from everything! Beautifully decorated and great views. Glastonbury an easy 15 minute drive, would definitely recommend.

    out of 10

The kitchen was very poorly equipped if one wanted to 'self cater', no casserole dishes, 1 very small mixing bowl, plenty of tumblers but only 4 wine glasses, few serving dishes - we ended up serving the salad in the frying pan!! Very small fridge for 4 people with the 'ice box' so frozen up nothing would fit in it. The cottage was very comfortable and warm .

Lovely place, well kitted out to a high standard and very comfortable bed! Would be a great place to stay in the summer and the log burner is a very cosy touch in the winter
