Just returned from a few days in Rye, the cottage was ideal for us, very clean, characterful and cosy. The location was fantastic, with a park with great play equipment a short stroll away, and minutes from the centre of Rye, we would definitely return.

lovely cottage great location within walking distance of everything we wanted to do.

The cottage was comfortable enough and well equipped to be able to do basic meals but the overall cleanliness wasn’t up to my standard. The floors under the sofas and furniture hadn’t been swept and were covered in dirt and dust.

Nice, dog friendly cottage. Walkable to town centre. Good parking at rear. Easy access via back garden to lovely playing field to walk dogs on if you have them. House is well equipt and comfy. Nice quality bed linen. If you are not good with stairs this is not the place for you. The bathroom is downstairs and stairs to bedrooms very steep and narrow. Lovely woodburner. Kitchen has everything you need. We had a lovely long weekend exploring Rye and relaxing in Bridge Cottage with our two dogs.

Great Cottage, parking, clean, warm and cosy, nice touch with the wine. It would have been great if there had been some kindling/fire lighters and a few more logs for our first night in. Other than that it was just perfect.

Beautiful cottage, very clean and comfortable. The one very small setback was the steps to the bathroom are very steep, also step down into garden. I am a fit person but I found them a little daunting, a hand rail to hold onto would be helpful outside the back door.

Great location for cycling. We loved Rye and the surrounding area.

Had a great holiday but it was the end of the season so the cottage was a bit tired and there were a couple of issues. The location was fantastic and it’s a well equipped cottage. Overall cleanliness a bit mixed. Parts could do with painting. The spare loo was rather smelly as it was not linked to the mains and extremely noisy so wasn’t practical for use at night (main reason for it) so ended up not being used. Also found a large chunk of glass under the kitchen table which was extremely worrying with both kids and dogs. One saucepan had been put away with food still stuck to it and the oven needs to be checked for cleanliness as the smoke alarm goes off very easily. That said the essentials for the first night were thought of. Top room is fairly inaccessible for tall people. I sure most children would be delighted but not necessarily their parents!
