    This cottage was perfect for us (May be not for everyone) But we know the area well. Best pub/restrauant is 6 miles away. It is an hours walk to the beach. Sandy hill beach is beautiful. Would definately stay again

    Normally I would recommend this cottage. However, as it up for sale I don’ know how long it will be a holiday let. We only found this out if we would be happy to let the estate agent show prospective buyers around on the Saturday. Give them their due when I said I wasn’t they arranged another date. Even so it’s not a request you expect when you’ve rented the cottage for a holiday.

    There is an issue with unmarked and difficult to see steps within the property. The step into the kitchen from a dark passage is a serious risk, my wife has a sight condition which significantly reduces her ability to see in 3D at floor level. She fell hard on first entering the cottage. The small step out of the shower room can also be easily missed. There are no warnings on the internet sites of these issues or sufficient markings.

    We had a great holiday in this lovely cottage. The house had everything that you would ever need, great kitchen for cooking, heating and hot water plentiful. The bedrooms were lovely with comfy beds and duvets. The situation of the cottage was ideal for exploring all areas of dumfries and Galloway with the nearest beaches being five-ten minutes either side. There really is nothing to fault with this lovely cottage, and we would return in a heartbeat. Communication about picking up keys was very simple and you knew that the owners whilst not being intrusive, would always be there to help with any problems. So all in all if you want a lovely holiday home in a great location this is the house for you. Ps although the cottage is on a main road it is very quiet and not troublesome at all. So thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home and also for the wine and chocolates which were gratefully received.

    Bridgend Cottage is very comfortable house very nicely presented, with plenty of heating avaiable if you require it. There is also an outside grassy garden to sit in. The cottage is in a very nice and quiet area. Very accessable for the coast and with wonderful quiet roads to get further afield if you wish to. Gary and Virginia are very helpful and supportive if you need them.

    Very nice cottage that is well-equiped. The main drawback is the location. The village is 5 houses and a church and driving is necessary for all activities.
