A beautiful cottage in a gorgeous setting. Just the right location to get away from it all to recharge your batteries and for exploring Ayrshire. The cottage is extremely well equipped with everything you could wish for. The best compliment I could give is that the Brig of Tig cottage is like a home from home, so comfortable that we as a family didn't want to come home! The welcome pack was fab. Our two dogs and our daughters loved the woods walk and the River Tig adjacent to the cottage. Fab places to visit include: Port Patrick, Port Logan, Loch Trool, Bruce's Stone and Ayr to name but a few. We would highly recommend staying at the cottage. Owners Andy and Jan are lovely helpful people. Nothing too much trouble.

Just got back from a lovely holiday in Scotland. The cottage is absolutely beautiful. My girls loved the spot next to the forest and river !!! An ideal spot to drop out of the rat race. Asda delivery made it easy to do a lot of our own catering. Good BBQ !!! I've given 5 for the local amenities because the beauty of it is to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. If you need entertaining this is not the cottage for you. The bed soooo comfortable, which is a big plus when on holiday.

This was our 3rd visit to Ballantrae but our first to Brig Of Tig and we weren’t disappointed! Such a cosy, comfortable and well-equipped cottage in a gorgeous setting! It was lovely sitting out front, in the sunshine, listening to the birds and the river! We’d love to come back again!

This is an amazing cottage and the pictures don’t do it justice! It is out of the way, so there isn’t much nearby, but I think it’s worth a bit of a drive to get places when the area is so beautiful and peaceful! We were made to feel welcome by both the owners and neighbours of the cottage and I would love to stay here again.

Lovely quiet location, very well equipped cosy cottage. Well equipped for getting away with the dogs and a great wood next to the property to let them run.

Lovely cottage that was better stocked than my own home, anything you needed was at hand. Fantastic location, perfect for a relaxing stay. The stream and bluebell woods at the front of the cottage were heaven for my 2 dogs.

Had a lovely stay at this lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. Kids and dogs loved playing in the little wood and river next to the cottage. Lots of lovely walks. Ballantrae Village is a short drive away, with a nice little pub and a co-op for supplies. Fab beach at Ballantrae and Girvan. Perfect if you want to get away from it all and relax! Cottage has everything you need, a home from home. Can’t wait to go back!

Lovely cottage with everything we needed. Our dogs loved it however it was a pity we were in the middle of storm Gareth which put a bit of a dampener on our break away. Will definitely look to book again as we loved the cottage and the remoteness.

This is a beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Tastefully decorated and furnished with everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday and all a good quality and plenty of it. Really comfy beds!! Walks and wildlife on your doorstep (literally) and gorgeous beaches close by. Owners friendly and approachable. This should be on your "must go" list

The Brig of Tig cottage was a beautiful and cosy retreat, and for nature lovers like us, the perfect get away. Set slightly out of the main village, and surrounded by woodland and farmland, we had Roe Deer and Tawny owls right on the doorstep. The location is great for viewing the night skies. We had views of the milky way, and lost count of the number of shooting stars we saw. After star gazing, we'd warm back up next to the log burning fire, which made the place even more cosier. We had an amazing time here, and I hope many more people do too.

Have been to many holiday cottages and this is one of the best I have stayed in. The extra touches were amazing i.e. bath robes and slippers. Dog beds towels and treats plus welcome pack. A home from home. Would book again definitely

We thought the cottage was beautifully appointed, cosy and very comfortable. A lot of thought has gone into making this wee cottage a home from home. If the could do something different, it would be a how 2 manual (we found the showers not easy to get the heat right and the cooker trickier to use - sussed it over a couple of days). Plus more info on things to do around the area for children. Other than that had a wonderful relaxing stay with our woofers.
