Had a wonderful weeks stay over New Year at Brig of Tig Cottage. The cottage was Immaculate and so homely. The cottage and surrounding area are simply stunning, it's one of the most chilled times we've had, our aim was to go into a New Year happy, relaxed and cosy, Brig of Tig cottage didn't disappoint! A very well equipped cottage with everything you could possibly need... a real home from home! The log burning stove was a dream and a lovely Xmas welcome hamper left by owners Andy and Jan were hugely appreciated... we will definitely be back, would highly recommend!

We just LOVED the cottage because it is so well equipped - a home away from home. The owners must live there a bit as it has everything you could need and we didn't want for anything. You just need to take food (no big supermarkets close by so best to bring most foodstuffs with you and just get essentials in Ballantrae). The Christmas decorations was a lovely touch. Our dog was very happy too. The cottage was warm and cosy (we went for Christmas)... the heating works really well and it is all on a timer. We just lit the fire in the evenings in the lounge. There are pretty country walks from the cottage and we loved the sound of the river just outside. The town of Ballantrae is a 10 minute drive away for pub lunches, a shop and a small beach. Great stay. We will be back! Thank you!

The ultimate location for a truly relaxing getaway. The cottage is very warm & comfortable, wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Having stayed in cottages all over the UK, Brig of Tig exceeded our expectations and we didn’t want to leave! A truly dog friendly cottage. The cottage is really spacious, clean and comfortable. Having a lovely downstairs bedroom with en-suite is perfect for those with mobility issues. The location alongside the water of Tig is idyllic and the woods and the walk along the river are fantastic for four legged friends. Ballantrae is in a good location for exploring the whole of Ayrshire by car.

Best cottage Ive ever rented. If your looking fir a secluded location, yet have access to the north and the ferry to Ireland this couldnt be better. The owners are very helpful and kind, theres a woods and a river next to the cottage and I took my cat, who loved playing in the garden and woods. Will definitely book again.

A beautiful cottage in a gorgeous setting. Just the right location to get away from it all to recharge your batteries and for exploring Ayrshire. The cottage is extremely well equipped with everything you could wish for. The best compliment I could give is that the Brig of Tig cottage is like a home from home, so comfortable that we as a family didn't want to come home! The welcome pack was fab. Our two dogs and our daughters loved the woods walk and the River Tig adjacent to the cottage. Fab places to visit include: Port Patrick, Port Logan, Loch Trool, Bruce's Stone and Ayr to name but a few. We would highly recommend staying at the cottage. Owners Andy and Jan are lovely helpful people. Nothing too much trouble.

Just got back from a lovely holiday in Scotland. The cottage is absolutely beautiful. My girls loved the spot next to the forest and river !!! An ideal spot to drop out of the rat race. Asda delivery made it easy to do a lot of our own catering. Good BBQ !!! I've given 5 for the local amenities because the beauty of it is to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. If you need entertaining this is not the cottage for you. The bed soooo comfortable, which is a big plus when on holiday.

This was our 3rd visit to Ballantrae but our first to Brig Of Tig and we weren’t disappointed! Such a cosy, comfortable and well-equipped cottage in a gorgeous setting! It was lovely sitting out front, in the sunshine, listening to the birds and the river! We’d love to come back again!

This is an amazing cottage and the pictures don’t do it justice! It is out of the way, so there isn’t much nearby, but I think it’s worth a bit of a drive to get places when the area is so beautiful and peaceful! We were made to feel welcome by both the owners and neighbours of the cottage and I would love to stay here again.

Lovely quiet location, very well equipped cosy cottage. Well equipped for getting away with the dogs and a great wood next to the property to let them run.

Lovely cottage that was better stocked than my own home, anything you needed was at hand. Fantastic location, perfect for a relaxing stay. The stream and bluebell woods at the front of the cottage were heaven for my 2 dogs.
