The cottage is over 200 years old, steeped in history and was once the village shop and bakery, Brook Bakery still featuring the original bread oven and other quaint features one would expect to find in such an enchanting property. With its upside-down living space, three floors, vaulted ceilings and large windows providing glorious views of the water, this is truly a special place to enjoy a relaxing break in South Devon.
As you enter on the ground floor, there is a cosy snug area on the right with comfortable seating and a Smart TV with BT Sport, an Xbox and a DVD player. Across the hallway is a study, a handy utility area and a luxurious bathroom with a freestanding bathtub, his and hers wash basins, a heated towel rail and toilet. Heading up to the first floor, guests will feel completely at home in the spacious, light and bright kitchen and living space. The kitchen is fully equipped and boasts a beautiful island counter with four stools, along with a pantry and waste disposal unit. Four steps lead down into the main living and dining area which boasts marvellous views of the creek and is furnished with stylish and neutral décor. The pretty village opposite the creek, Noss Mayo, boasts two lovely pubs where you can end the day with refreshing drink. You will find the Voss pathway, which guests can walk across to Noss May when the tide it out. The location is perfect for watersporting enthusiasts, with the slipway literally on the doorstep, offering a great environment for kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding and sailing. Walkers can look forward to exploring the South West Coast Path, coming to beautiful sections of coastline backed by rugged cliffs, small beaches and coves.
