We enjoyed our holiday at Brook Nook Cottage . It is a well decorated cottage in a lovely location . The only problem we had was the wash basin in the shower room is rather small and having no mirror in front of basin made it difficult for my husband to shave .Luckily i had my large fold up mirror , which saved the day .It really is a lovely cottage apart from that minor detail .

Brook Nook is a lovely little cottages, very well appointed, every need was catered for, even including a wood burning stove with fuel provided, because the weather was good we did not require to use it, however it would be very welcome during inclement weather. A special thanks for providing a welcome hamper which contain some lovely local produce. Minor, though this may seem, the only adverse comment I would make it that the wash hand basin in the bathroom is too small and difficult to use without spilling water onto the floor. The lack of car parking at the cottage was a bit of an issue as it was not always possible to find a space at the nearby hall requiring us to park the car on the roadway which was not comfortable for us. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay at Brook Nook Cottage and would consider booking it again. It is an excellent base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.

This cottage is a real home from home. It’s cosy and stylishly decorated. Everything you could think of is provided so I didn’t even need to unpack lots of things. There was a wonderful welcome pack waiting for us and our dog. It’s only a mile from the local town so lots of places to eat. A beautiful brook runs close by encouraging lots of different birds.

This little cottage had everything we wanted or needed. We felt comfortable and cosy, used as a base to explore and relax when we were in. Location is fab, close to local walks and friendly pub, a stone’s throw from Leyburn. Outstanding value and with those extra touches to take it into the top bracket. Perfect!

Beautiful cottage, instantly felt at home. Everything you could want, thoughtful welcome hamper, lovely decor. Only tiny negative would be the shower is a bit weak for someone with a lot of hair! Would 100% return.

Lovely little cottage and felt like home for the week. Real attention to detail and lots of finishing touches. It is dog friendly but with restrictions - dogs are not allowed on furniture or upstairs. Dogs cannot be left in the cottage. This is tricky if the dog is not used to this and also the shower is upstairs. So washing dirty paws is a challenge. There is also a small courtyard front garden but plenty of walks locally for the dog. Having said that though I would definitely go back. I just think it's important for dog owners to know before going :)
