As a meditation group we found broom house met most of our needs. We were very comfortable there. It is a cosy house and well equipped. We would definitely return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Broom House, we had a family party of seven with three generations all catered for. Ground floor bedroom and shower for the less able as well as wi-fi for the kids. Cosy, warm and homely cottage.

Pictures of bedrooms should be uploaded as current out of date picture does not represent the house accurately at all. Lovely house with interesting furniture and objects. Beds and bedrooms all very comfortable. Very quiet village. High fenced hedges with only a picket gate to the shared drive where dog could possibly jump out. Note no door on King room and accessed by steep narrow stairs. Owners are on hand for logs to purchase. The area exceeded expectations.

The house was a perfect size to accommodate our extended family get together in a good location convenient for the local pub. The house was well equipped with enough lounge furniture for a larger group and plenty of kitchen utensils etc. However, the aga is the only form of cooking which isn't ideal for those unfamiliar with aga cooking and it pumps out so much heat that it was unbearably hot in the kitchen at all times. The decor is a little tired and the listing pictures are rather flattering but the most disappointing aspect of our stay was that few of us enjoyed a good nights sleep. One double bed in particular was so creaky that our guests refused to sleep in it after the first night and, as they lived under an hour away, decided to travel back home each evening to sleep in their own beds. We thought they might have been over-reacting and tried it ourselves - they weren't!! The house is probably reasonably good value for money -it's cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Lovely house with a large kitchen and table and nice and warm. Great house for a large group and we had a great time. We will be back. Thank you.

Had a fantastic week in Broom House. The house was lovely & well equipped. The owners next door were very friendly & helpful. Would definitely return. Pub is lovely & fantastic food. Lots of lovely walks with the dogs.

Comfortable stay but unfortunately the kitchen needed a good clean. It was full of flies when we arrived. Freezer badly in need of defrosting.

    out of 10

Very spacious old beamed house with bags of character. Excellent for us and our extended family (3 generations). Good outside space with enclosed private garden. A bit dusty and cobwebby in places. It was awkward to use the 2 car private parking as the parking space is shared with the holiday home next door.
