Excellent cottage, beautiful surroundings, very comfortable beds and lovely bedding. Very spacious lounge and kitchen

Beautiful peaceful rural location. Lovely spacious accommodation. Very comfortable beds and lovely large kitchen. Outside space is great and the owners were lovely. Perfect for large family holidays. We would definitely revisit.

The location of the cottage was more remote than we expected. We were unlucky that the week we were there the wi-fi was not working properly and BT are unable to provide a good service. The cottage itself was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen lacked items like jugs for cooking and the oven is rather dated. The grounds around the cottage are good and provided ample opportunity for various activities. We liked the views from the cottage and grounds. Rambling in the area is difficult as some paths are very overgrown and in many instances no longer exist, presumably due to lack of use.

A lovely large house in the middle of nowhere at the end of a farm track. Plenty of room for our party of 8 adults & 3 children. So much indoor & outdoor space. The children loved the games room & lawns to run around on. Wi-Fi wasn't great but it didn't matter. Would highly recommend for a short break away

A lovely house suitable for a large group - we were 10 in total. Isolated location with lovely views over the countryside.

We were welcomed by two lovely freshly baked cakes which lasted us for tea time throughout the week! Lots of space for our party of three families to sleep, eat and live, and lots of excitement for the kids seeing the cows in the field next door every morning (although the cows had to cross the road a few times a day which meant it was blocked off for drivers!). WiFi was available, but very weak, we mostly used our phone data. All in all, a fabulous week. Lovely big garden, was great for the odd sunny morning we had! Wendy was very friendly and communicative in advance of our stay.

Beautiful cottage in a rural setting. It was just right for our needs and we had plenty of space so that it never felt crowded. The beds were very comfortable and all the bedding looked and felt luxurious. My only gripe is that there wasn't a food processor or much kitchen equipment if you really wanted to cook. Also a few of the baking trays didn't fit into either oven. Overall we all loved it and would rebook if we were in that neck of the woods again .

We enjoyed a fabulous long weekend at Bucks Cottage. The property is spacious and attractive with ample outdoor space. The owners were welcoming (the home made cakes were appreciated!), and made sure that everything was in good order when we arrived. The beds are very comfortable and most of the bedrooms have lovely views. We managed to find plenty to do in the area, though a car is essential.

Spent a great weekend here, very comfortable beds, a large and warm kitchen and a lovely sitting room with a log fire, looking forward to return for another relaxing and peaceful weekend

Really great holiday! Would recommend Bucks cottage to anyone who wants a holiday in the countryside.

Loved the house and garden -great for an extended family weekend . Plenty of toilets and bathrooms made us choose this place and the games room in the garage ( although no heating in the garage but that didn’t bother us as it was mild. ) Spent the whole weekend outside in the garden or sitting round the large kitchen table . Even better if there were a few more bits of equipment in the kitchen - more sharp knives -serving spoons -as you do need to cook for the large party -there’s no shop for a few miles so you do need to take everything you need. Had a fabulous weekend with ages 3-66 and all went really well ! Would definitely book again for similar occasion .

An excellent holiday cottage for a larger party, with plenty of space for cooking, eating and relaxing. Having two lounges was great, with the TV in the smaller one for the younger members of our party. The wood burner made the larger lounge cosy for playing games in the evening. Very comfortable beds and lots of bathrooms / shower rooms so no queuing in the mornings. The local area is beautiful and there are lovely walks everywhere. We didn't really use the local amenities in the village as we were there for a short stay and cooked for ourselves after long days out.
