Absolutely beautiful. The owners were very welcoming and full of information regarding the places to visit. I could not recommend this house enough. We had a wonderful time. We even left an item behind and Bridget was so very helpful in getting it back to us. We can’t wait to return.

The house is well represented in the photos, bedrooms are generally a good size with a very large master bedroom. Bathrooms were all in very good working order and exceptionally clean. The owner left usual notes around the home and left us some local bits which was a lovely touch and was very helpful when in contact prior to our attending. Grounds are beautiful, and was very much an escape. There was a pub nearby just a shame we couldn’t walk there on foot but we did venture out to the local zoo. We were a large party with several little toddlers and the whole group really enjoyed themselves. I would thoroughly recommend a stay! We have talked about going again next year!

Our week at Burgess House over the Christmas week was simply wonderful! Our family spanned 4 generations and the house suited us perfectly with plenty of space. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas & the hamper, local bread & home baked cake delicious & most welcome. Communication with the owners was easy & very informative. We were met on arrival, shown round the house & made very welcome. We would highly recommend Burgess House & hope to return in the near future. Thank you very much & lovely to meet you both.

As a group of 9 ‘mature’ ladies we have been celebrating an early Christmas for a number of years and this was by far one of the best houses we have stayed in. Everything we could want and much more besides. Bridget couldn’t have been more helpful both before and during our stay. The hot tub was lovely and we enjoyed star gazing on the clear nights. Would most definitely recommend the house to family and friends. Great location and beautiful surroundings.

This is an amazing house! Bridget was the most wonderful host, met us at the house with the warmest of welcomes (which included an amazing lemon drizzle cake, fresh bread, milk and biscuits!) and explained everything we needed to know. We stayed as a family of 10 from age 21 up to 85 and it was perfect for everyone! Bridget has literally thought of everything and gone the extra mile to make sure you have anything you could possibly need! The house is stunning and grounds (which include horses, sheep, cows, a lake and wood!) are amazing to explore! We have stayed in a lot of large houses but this is definitely one of the best! Well done Bridget - we’ll be back!

Burgess House is a beautiful house that has been decorated to a very high standard & is obviously well looked after & loved. It has ample space, gorgeous rooms, wonderful grounds & a lovely hot tub. Our party was a group of 9 and we had a wonderful time there - the whole house was absolutely spotless with plenty of room for everyone to chill & relax. Fortunately we had beautiful weather, so we made ample use of the hot tub & the outdoor areas to relax in. There is plenty of seating outside & in for everyone - the sheep & horses in the fields plus the herons on the lake were an added bonus! Bridget was a delight to deal with - very good communication & we really appreciated being left milk, bread & a very yummy lemon drizzle cake! We also ate at the local pub in Caston which I would highly recommend - we enjoyed a wonderful Sunday roast dinner there. The whole weekend was perfect - all of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Burgess House & would highly recommend it if you are looking for beautiful, well-kept & luxurious accommodation.

Wonderful cottage - we spent a superb family weekend there - plenty of room and great fenced in space for the children to run around in.

Gorgeous house, garden and grounds. Perfect for families. Outdoor seating area with hot tub was really stunning and, with the pond and walk around the lake and the woods which are part of the grounds, was lovely. The house was beautiful, really clean and everything we could possibly need was provided. Kitchen was really well equipped. Highly recommend. The only downside was the wi-fi didn’t work at all.

Very clean and well equipped cottage with attentive owner. Quiet village location but just what our party was seeking. Our children loved the main garden for playing games, the wood for building dens, hot tub and feeding the horses. A very comfortable and relaxing week. Will return again.

There arent enough words to explain how fantastic our fmaily weekend was at Burgess House. The location was stunning and truly a break from reality, the house itself is beautifull clean and welcoming and Bridget was on hand throughout the booking process to provide extra details to ensure our break was seamless. We shall definately be heading back!
