We had a fantastic break here, really relaxing with the private hot tub, and a well equipped and comfortable cosy cottage. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic rural property with so much history. Beautiful location

This cottage is absolutely beautiful. It is furnished to boutique standards and very clean. The kitchen is equipped with literally everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was very relaxing and private. The only comment I would make would be that as I had no signal I couldn’t access my music account. A radio/music player would’ve been perfection, just for some background tunes. This by no means detracted from our experience though. There were a number of extra touches, such as fresh flowers and Prosecco on ice on our arrival, which made our stay even more special. Nicola, the host, was very welcoming and helpful. The local area is very picturesque. I should imagine it would be magical in the snow. The cottage is well placed for access to numerous walks and local attractions. Although the nearest village was lacking a grocery shop, there were a number of options a short drive away. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend to family and friends! Thank you!

My wife and I had a really good time, returning home relaxed.

This cottage was spotless and very nicely decorated. We slept in the front room which had one of the most comfiest beds ever. The sky TV was great to record programs when out or in hot tub. The hot tub was a short walk away and inside an fully enclosed summer house so you could be using it despite the weather. The cottage was well located with plenty of walks in the area. The Cross Keys pub a short distance away in Eastgate and was excellent for Sunday lunch but defo phone and book. Nicola was a great host and kept in regular contact. We spoke to her twice regards a couple of things and they were sorted that day. She was super friendly and helped make our stay a good one. We felt that some little things in the kitchen were missing like kitchen roll, cleaning spray, baking tray, but overall it was an excellent stay and would recommend anyone to holiday here.

We had the most perfect weekend here, we happily could of stayed much longer. The cottage was perfect, beds so comfy, hot tub area perfect, so clean and so lovely. We can't wait to come back. My dog loved it too, perfect location, friendly local pub and great location for other dog friendly attractions. Just book and enjoy a little bit of country heaven.
