Beautifully decorated and well equipped accommodation in a peaceful location. Really enjoyed hearing the stream nearby and relaxing in the hot tub. Super comfy beds and sofas and plenty of space for everyone.

We had a brilliant 3 nights stay at the old miners cottage. The owners should be proud of the the refurbishment they have done . The hot tub is a great idea, both the kids and adults loved using it. We had a very chilled out stay and would love to return again in the future.

Wow! Such a beautiful cottage with beautiful surroundings! Everything about this place was perfect from the second we were greeted there by the owner Nicola with a bottle of Prosecco and a tour of the building. It really was like a home from home, everything you would ever need plus more was available for use. I would highly recommend anyone to book this beautiful place. We certainly can not wait to return.

Amazing couple of days away with good friends, the cottage was out of this world, it had everything you could think of and more ??

This holiday home was the most beautiful place to get away, with just amazing views. The whole party thoroughly enjoyed there stay and would consider coming back. It was especially helpful having the tour of the place before hand by the owner who was so kind and welcoming, and getting to know where everything is with a bottle of fizz on hand. Everything was provided and easily accessible which made the stay a lot more comforting! Would highly recommend this home for a couple nights away, perfect for large groups as there is plenty of space.

I could not have asked for a more beautiful place to stay with the girls to celebrate my 30th Birthday.  There was 8 of us that stayed for 3 x nights.  The Old Miners Cottage was a large, well thought out property decorated to a lovely modern standard keeping much of the buildings old features in the middle of the countryside with fabulous views.  On arrival there were fresh roses, prosecco and milk (the kitchen had everything we needed for the weekend where we cooked pizzas, breakfasts, tapas, afternoon tea and a Sunday roast).  After a day out with Weardale Activity Centre gorge walking it was lovely coming back to the cottage where the hot tub and fluffy dressing gowns awaited.

We had an amazing holiday in the Old Miners Hall and wanted to give some feedback on it. The house itself is quite amazing, with stunning views and great common areas. We were a group of 9 and could have meals and hang out together in both the kitchen and the living room. Nicola, our host, was very helpful and welcoming. Generally, a great house and would consider coming back again.

There was 8 of us that stayed at the Old Miners Cottage. Beautiful cottage, very specious and inviting with a fantastic hot tub. Furnished to a very high standard and our host Nicola made us feel very welcome on arrival. Fresh flowers to greet us with a bottle of bubbly. Beautiful views and great for local walks. Only downside was no phone signal but the WiFi was good. We highly recommend the Old Miners Cottage for a lovely relaxing break. ?
