This lovely, semi-detached, single-storey lodge is set in 16 acres of unspoilt natural woodland, fields and forest, in the grounds of the owners’ home. There is a large wildlife pond with lily pads and surrounded by irises. Perfect for those who love their nature, this area sees some of the rarest birds - with ospreys nesting from April. Visitors to the bird feeders include the rare willow tit. There are also cuckoos in the woodlands, red kites, buzzards, redpolls, wagtails and siskins - there have been over 80 different species of bird spotted at Cwmbiga. Located in the beautiful Cambrian Mountains, there is plenty for everyone to see here, whether you are bikers, hikers or birdwatchers alike. Once you have explored the area, come back to the lodge and relax in the hammock on the terrace and listen to the sounds of nature, or simply sit in the living room with the wood burner blazing. Should you want to completely relax and enjoy a peaceful and restorative holiday, everything has been though of to ensure that you don’t need to lift a finger – there is a mini bar in the cottage stocked with Welsh beer, cider and water, plus red and white wine, as well as homemade food that is available should you wish to have a break from cooking. The owners include a welcome pack which includes eggs from their chickens, cake upon arrival and fresh flowers.
