Really lovely, deep in the Kentish countryside, but only 15 mins drive to Canterbury. Very quiet. Excellent welcome, cake, wine, very friendly and helpful host. Lots of friendly dogs. Limited headspace in bedroom upstairs, ok for us, but could be difficult if over 6 ft tall.

We had a marvellous time, the Cottage is very rural and rustic, great if you have pets as well. The only downfall the local amenities, Canterbury is approximately 5 miles away, so don't forget to get your milk. Tim and Dee who run the cottage are amazing, really friendly and make sure you have all you need.

Lovely little cottage. Ideal for a quiet getaway with plenty of woodland walks available

Great place for a weekend getaway! The property had character and was nice and cosy. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Only a short drive into the town centre if you want to explore a bit further. Me and my partner had a lovely time, it was quite the contrast to London and was the perfect place to recharge the batteries. The only slight let down was the beds, two single beds which were not the most comfortable so did have some trouble sleeping. Maybe a sofa bed would be ideal?

We had a lovely stay at the cottage and would definitely stay there again. We found it quite expensive compared to others we have stayed at, however the owners were lovely and the cottage was so relaxing. I’d recommend it completely.

The weekend spent at the lodge will be one that lives long in the memory. From start to finish we were smiling, laughing and enjoying ourselves and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to make so many memories. We couldn’t recommend this place enough and I’m sure our friends are already bored of us talking about it for so long!

Such a beautiful little cottage , very clean and just perfect in everyway. Tim the owner is wonderful and very accommodating. Looking forward to returning soon :) Donna + Nathan

This was a beautiful cottage and the owners are great. Unfortunately we cut our holiday short as we had a young puppy with us who at the moment is not great in the car and as the cottage is quite isolated, we decided to come home early. However this is no reflection on the cottage or owners and we would definitely stay there again.

Smallish property in secluded area. No local amenities. Warm welcome from owners.

You can’t fault the location of this property, the garden was fantastic for the dogs to walk around at their leisure and the immediate location is ideal for walks and getting around to other villages with a selection of great dog walks and beautiful country pubs for lunch or an evening meal. The converted blacksmith workshop for me was too small especially on the first floor. I am over 6ft and found the bedroom very limited in space but would suit others no doubt but for someone as tall as me impersonal found it very compact. Please do not let it put anyone off as the positives far out way the negatives and the setting is very idealic.

We had another lovely second stay at the cottage. Location is beautiful with lovely walks for the dogs within easy distance. The cottage is nice and cosy and well equipped. The hot tub is perfect after a long day out. We will definitely be coming again a third time, we love the location it’s 20-30 minute drive to most places of interest including coastal areas. Tim is also really lovely and very hospitable, the chocolate cake was washed down well by the bottle of wine left as a welcome gesture by the host. We look forward to staying again.
