Enjoyed our stay at the cottage lovely garden and facilities like at home. Garden is amazing. all shops and pub 3 miles away. Not major friendly for tall people being an old building but very modern fittings. Says to not let dogs upstairs but not really anyway to stop them so had to block with chairs

Our stay was only short (4 nights) but very sweet. Caerdeon Lodge was so lovely to come back to after a day out. It stands on its own, approximately 3 miles from Barmouth. It is private, warm, cosy and very welcoming. The surrounding garden is delightful with a stream running along one side. (I sense that both the owner and the house manager take great pride in the presentation of their lovely cottage). Most of our time was spent walking .... the Mawddach Estuary is awesome! We are looking forward to returning to Caerdeon Lodge in the near future.

I had the most relaxing stay at Caerdeon lodge, The surroundings were so beautiful and inside the cottage was immaculate! My only faults was it not having a stair gate for the dog to not access upstairs instead I had to put a chair at the bottom step and I couldn't let him free off his lead in the garden. Other than my two small quibbles which wasn't no bother anyway I'd highly recommend this amazing place and i will definitely be returning.

This cottage was perfect for our needs, just close enough to towns for shopping or eating out but secluded enough to be peaceful.

Fantastic little cottage, close to Barmouth and the estuary. It's perfect to get away from it all for a few weeks.

We had a wonderful time at Caerdeon Lodge; it's a lovely cosy comfortable cottage, very well equipped. The House Manager, Veronica, had gone out of her way to check everything was ready for us as there had been storms & heavy rain on the Friday. It's well positioned for lots of local attractions: we enjoyed the beaches at Barmouth & Aberdyfi and also climbing Diffwys (from the lane at the back of the cottage) and Cader Idris. It was even warm and sunny enough to eat out on the garden table at times! Wifi worked well too. We'd love to return!

Comfortable, cosy and well equipped cottage. All home comforts and cleanliness we would hope to expect. Great location for exploring North West Wales. Even though we were next to a main road as described this had no adverse impact on us as it was safe and secure for the dog. Once inside the cottage you couldnt hear the road either. We would happily stay again

Arrived to find cottage had been flooded and water had gathered in the corner of the lounge. We were offered no compensation and were then constantly hassled by the property manager whose sole concern was to ready the property for the next week’s guests. This despite having explained that we had 2 anxious and nervous dogs, who had to be shut in the kitchen with one of us to calm them each time anyone came to the property. The threat of flood had abated following the clearing of the stream by the council. We’d agreed to dry the lounge carpet by drying and replacing towels and mats, keeping the central heating on and opening windows. This worked and the carpet was drying nicely, although there was a damp smell. In spite of this she insisted on entry on 3 occasions without notice, on the third occasion we’d vacated the property for over 2 hours to allow a carpet fitter to enter as agreed between 1-3pm .. only for him to appear at 3:40 after we’d returned. We were obliged to be in contact with Wyndham Vacation Rentals Customer Service, the property manager and the cottage owner throughout our holiday. In the end it was impossible to relax and we decided to cut our holiday short and leave a day early. A holiday is about more than bricks and mortar, it should be a chance to relax, recharge batteries and escape day to day stresses. Our stay at Caerdeon was anything but.

We had a really lovely time staying at Caerdeon Lodge. Felt instantly comfortable and at home. Garden very pretty and well cared for. The basket of goodies was a bonus and the supplies in the kitchen, tea, coffee, milk etc. very helpful It is 3 miles outside of Barmouth but we didn't find this a major problem. It is on the main road so some traffic noise but again not a huge problem at this time of year. probably most suited to a couple or small family with older children due to its position and the down stairs toilet. I would definitely recommend.
