Stunning cottage in a beautiful setting. Very clean throughout the property and outstanding gardens. As a professional naturalist I found the variety of wildlife around the cottage superb even in February in storms so look forward to returning in the summer

A little cold when we arrived and no heating instructions, a bit offputing having signs about dog hairs and dog dirt in a few places with threat of extra charges when you pay quite a bit extra for dogs presumably to cover any extra cleaning. Garden not really secure to let dogs out

Having stayed at many, many cottages over the last fifteen years, Caerdeon Lodge was simply astounding. The photo's do not do it justice. From the moment we walked through door we felt at home and comfy. We arrived on a very cold evening in Nov, and we were greeted by a blast of warm air as we opened the front door, an unexpected sumptious welcome basket on the table before us (doggy treat included), and the cottage smelt beautiful from top to bottom. There was no compromise on the quality of furnishings as is often the case, the beds and bedding were superb, the decor so tasteful, and everything was spotless. It was such an authentic cottage experience, the building must be at least 400 years old, and yet all the comforts of a new build. Nothing wasn't thought of, absolutely nothing, we almost expected the person who lives there to arrive home and cook us dinner lol. The views surrounding the cottage were breathtaking, and the garden was such a real treat, even in Nov. Veronica, the manager, deserves a lot of credit for the work she has done with Caerdeon Lodge, it's amazing, spotless, homely, and so warm and comfortable. I never write reviews, but our party could not recommend this cottage enough. Absolutely beautiful, thank you so much to Veronica for the love she has put into it, and the care and courtesy she shows her guests. We look forward to visiting again.

Fabulous cottage, clean, great gardens and everything you need for comfortable holiday. The road is close but was not too busy while we were there, we loved the local walk, great places to eat in Barmouth (The Last inn) and the beach was wonderful

A cosy, well equipped cottage. Lots of lovely touches. The garden was well tended and we enjoyed watching the birds at feeders.

One of the best equipped, clean, well presented cottages we have stayed in. The welcome pack was much appreciated, especially the free range eggs. Secure garden for our small dog, no problems. Great location for local attractions, especially burial mound and waterfalls.

Enjoyed our stay at the cottage lovely garden and facilities like at home. Garden is amazing. all shops and pub 3 miles away. Not major friendly for tall people being an old building but very modern fittings. Says to not let dogs upstairs but not really anyway to stop them so had to block with chairs

Our stay was only short (4 nights) but very sweet. Caerdeon Lodge was so lovely to come back to after a day out. It stands on its own, approximately 3 miles from Barmouth. It is private, warm, cosy and very welcoming. The surrounding garden is delightful with a stream running along one side. (I sense that both the owner and the house manager take great pride in the presentation of their lovely cottage). Most of our time was spent walking .... the Mawddach Estuary is awesome! We are looking forward to returning to Caerdeon Lodge in the near future.

I had the most relaxing stay at Caerdeon lodge, The surroundings were so beautiful and inside the cottage was immaculate! My only faults was it not having a stair gate for the dog to not access upstairs instead I had to put a chair at the bottom step and I couldn't let him free off his lead in the garden. Other than my two small quibbles which wasn't no bother anyway I'd highly recommend this amazing place and i will definitely be returning.

This cottage was perfect for our needs, just close enough to towns for shopping or eating out but secluded enough to be peaceful.
