No smoking. \nThis detached holiday bungalow situated in Gourock and a 45-minute drive away from Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park has exceptional breathtaking views from inside and out over the Port of Gourock and the Clyde Estuary. The rear garden is fully enclosed and outside the back door is a patio area with garden furniture. From the patio there are steps with handrail to the two terraced garden areas. Behind Caleview there is Cove Nature Reserve Trails and woodland paths with breathtaking views over the River Clyde. Historic Glasgow with its theatres museums and restaurants is easily reached. Gourock two has golf courses a theatre an indoor and outdoor swimming pool several sport centres ice skating and cycle tracks. Water sports are available as are fishing walking climbing and horse riding. Explore the coastal towns with sandy beaches and take ferry boat trips to Helensburgh Kilcreggan Dunoon Millport Rothesay and Tighnabruaich. Largs is a 30-minute drive.     Firstly, a friendly owner and lovely views. However, the path up from the gate was very steep and should have had a handrail the whole length. There were two loose paving slabs, one of which we had to move out of the way to be sure my elderly parents were safe. The front door badly needed a coat of paint. The living room had comfortable furniture. The dining room was similarly comfortable. It was a shame that poorly presented items for sale overwhelmed both rooms. The kitchen was adequately equipped although only one light worked as the other bulb was inoperative and there was no toaster, which was very irritating as one appeared on the photo. One of the saucepans still had burnt food in it. The bedrooms were again, adequate and bed linen and towels were clean. Again, it was a shame that there was no effort to provide matching linen and towels. There was no "welcome pack" which was mentioned in the cottage description. The whole appearance of this cottage was of presentation on a shoe string with multiple signs exhorting saving and a lack of care in checking between occupants. This cottage compared unfavourably with many other cottages that we have been to over the years

    Cottage needs to be brought up to date. No gas central heating during a Scottish winter isn’t ideal. The furnishings are well used also.

    The only problems we had was that it was a bit chilly on an evening although we were there in November and I do understand that Emma the owner was getting the heating sorted at the time. Emma was very helpful and very kind. The views from the cottage were absolutely stunning night and day. It is just a short walk to the waterside and there is a cafe, One Cove Road, that caters for dogs. The food was gorgeous and the staff were very helpful and friendly not forgetting the dog and bringing water out for her every time we went in.

    Just the most lovely place to stay. Views cannot be beaten. Brilliant for the doggies with super enclosed garden. Will not hesitate to return.

    Lovely cottage amazing view good road rail and ferry links to explore Scotland further .It was a home from home . Would definitely book this cottage again .
